I love this TRAIL! It's the only one I ride..at least for now or I find a better one. The sand spots, the loose lava like rock incline/decline, the roots, even deep gulleys, the uphill climbs. If you do this trail on a downhill bike, pay attention to the diamond markers, becuase you'll need to be able to tell 911 where to come rescue you A@@. I don't care how much or often I do this trail, I just push myself harder, faster and more technical. I love the variety...

Customer Service

I start at Rock Ledge despite the entorage of lowriders and music and the unfriendly looking folks. I wish they all had a the same Walt Disney Smile, then all would be warm and fuzzy, but the fact is they are so busy getting plastered, that there is no real threat. It is the only reall thing that I don't like about the trail. ~~~~~~~~~But that's LIFE~~~~~~~~~~~~

Nice trail. In the early stages there can be several people walking dogs and stuff but that cuts out quick once you hit all the really mean stuff. Excellent trail, Very challenging exspecially the further in you get. Its an excellent use of what is out there, Totally recomend it well worth the drive from anywhere in the metroplex.

Really GREAT trail, has almost everything you could ask for. Trail combines hard clay and rocks, with VERY
little loose dirt. One week it rained like hell friday & saturday, I rode the next day with NO mud. The very first section may contain walkers & dogs, but they are really not an issue. In general , the trail is FAST, I average around 15 mph, with hills that are mostly like a rollercoaster. Just keep your speed going down and you will fly up the next hill. This place is like my home ground, from the time I leave the house till I get home, is probably around 2 1/2 hours. Be aware though that the trail is used by beginners and racers, so be careful around blind hills and corners.

Very rocky in points, however you can get bogged down in several sand points as well. Several technical points, climbs, and hills. Lots of sharp turns, a narrow areas in the trail. There are also many technical points where it can become very shakey if your not careful. It would be wise to have some prior experience with mountain biking before tackling this trail. A very fun trail. Watch out for joggers.

This trail has it all. Challenging climbs, loose gravel, tight turns, speed, technical areas, easy areas, water fountains(2), bridges, and water crossings. WATCH for walkers and blind spots! Not recommended for beginners.

Start out at Rockledge Park... There are other starting points for this trail, but this one is the best.

Really great trail, especially if you like lots of speed and quick up and downs. In addition to the trail itself, there are numerous splits that offer very hard drops. Much of it runs alongside Grapevine Lake, and most is very scenic.... though most your attention needs to be paid to not falling off your bike.
