Yellow Gate (part of cumberland) - TRAIL

Yellow Gate (part of cumberland) - Trail, Soddy Daisy, Tennessee

about 2.5 miles long. About 1 mile uphill, then rolling terrain, some not possible. Go until the stairs. Leave your bikes there and walk up the stairs stay left to the overlook. The ride back down is really fast and fun. If you are into exploring, take your bike with you up the stairs and hang a right. This will bring you to a logging rd.. Go left there andcontinue on to the green hole, Go righ to hit the road back down the mtn to your car.

There are no parking signs here or you will be ticketed. Also this is a foot traffic only trail and is accessed by the Cumberland Trailhead and parking area down the road.

Please note I had to list "once a week" or it would not let me post this review. I never ride this trail as it is a HIKER ONLY TRAIL. Please do not ride as it will adversely affect our ability to gain access to build legal mountain biker trails in the area. Please ride another trail in the area, Booker T. Washington State Park, Harrison Bay State Park, Raccoon Mountain Trail Network (5 miles and building, about 30 when complete), Edward's Point, Truck Trail at the Reflection Riding, Guild Trail, etc... For more information on these and other legal trails in the region please see www.sorbachattanooga.org
