If you haven't been to Panther creek in a while come back and see what they have done. Panther Creek Bike Shop and the local bike club along with Panther Creek State Park have done a wonderful job on maintaining and build new trails. There is something for everyone here, no matter you skill level. We are blessed to have this in Morristown.

Decent trails with a little bit of everything for everyone, but don't go on the weekends or holidays as the bike trails are packed with hikers. In fact there are so many hikers during those times it makes it impossible to enjoy riding the trails.

This trail has stood the test of time. I love it. I also like some of the new sections out there. Love it!

Pioneer Trail has seen some loving in the last few months. The overgrown (and painful) brambles are temporarily gone- and should be OK until next spring.

There is some good riding at Panther. There are also some trails that need some much past due work. I use to live in Morristown and the trails have been the same way since I can remember. Get a map just to have one, but it won't do you a whole lot of good. When my wife and I rode the pioneer trail, we thought we were in the amazon. It look like the trail hadn't been maintained since the days of the pioneers. Having said that there are some good aerobic accents and some fast single track decents. Not bad overall riding.

Anyway you can read the map! Good luck!

Panther Creek State Park Trails are awesome!!!! All of the trails are well groomed and there's lots of wild life everywhere. There's easy areas of the trail system and also some very technical stuff that some expert riders may not be able to navigate (i.e. rock face). These trails have something for everyone.

Customer Service

The whole damn thing!!!!

My girlfriend and I rode the panther creek trails fall of 2003. TN should be proud to have this beatuiful park. The trail system is well maintained and during our Saturday on the trails we only seen one other biker. The park offers maps which can be obtained at the vistors center. As a whole the trails are fun to ride with no major technical sections.

PantherCreek has a plethera of trails to ride although now the fun stuff is on the lake-bottoms now that they have drained the lake, the soft dirt and the rocks make for all around fun riding. I ride with my buddies at least twice a week pioneer and trout lilly are my favorite though, watch for deer and turkey they are everywhere this time if year. It is beautiful land especially with the changing leaves. Oh yeah, the bridge on trout lilly is finished and fully-functional.

Basically this a bunny trail, but it has some cool stuff to recommend it. There is a tough, tough, tough rock garden down by the Creek that is basically unrideable by yours truly. I have witnessed people make it intact but it is a keeper for bike control skills! Otherwise, you will find this a nice place for a work out. To be honest, the worst crash I ever had (concussion, broken toe and cracked sternum) happened here when my friend spooked a big buck deer, which ran in front of me right as I hit the only gnarly root/rock/downhill complex in the whole park. During the deer rut and hunting season (October, November, December) watch for high-strung and spooked deer. All and all, like I said, a nice workout.

Customer Service

All of it.

Finally a park that caters to mountain bikers. This park has plenty of recreation including mountain biking and camping. This park has seperate trails for mountain bikers so we dont have to deal with those annoying horses and their riders. Plenty of well maintained trails to ride with beautiful scenery. Truthfully the best place I have ever ridden next to The Big South Fork. I would give this trail a 10 if I could.
