Super Flow-ie trail that is very well maintained. Enough technical parts to challenge you every .5mi or so, but relatively flat with rolling downhills and climbs.

I've been all around the country riding and this trail is perfect for a fast, awesome ride that doesn't take too long.

AMAZING, raced a 6 hour endurance race last weekend and was very impressed. This is a top notch trail designed by riders with a passion for the sport! If in the area, and love to ride it is a must.

Customer Service

i rode the race route and it was great, both sides of the road were included.

This is the trail I learned to mountain bike on and really fell in love with the sport. What you've got here is about an 8.5 mile loop consisting of 16 "belts"...numbered BLT1 through BLT16. Some of the belts are easier than others, but none are very technical. I rode this trail my first time riding and had no problems with it. Sure, I had to walk my bike over a couple rocks, but it was still enjoyable. The trail is relatively smooth and has some really fun downhills and drops.

Customer Service

Start at the trailhead and take an immediate left onto BLT1 and follow the belts in numerical order all the way through BLT16. This is a one-way trail, so this route isn't recommended, it is THE sanctioned route.

Read the previous review and you will get a great idea about the trail. Worth the visit. If tape is across the trail entry, then don't go that way.

This place is SWEET! My kind of trail... doesn't seem like much climbing but at the same time feels fast like you're traveling downhill much more than up. Don't know how that's possible, but that's how it felt! Trail maintenance is top-notch. It's got some cool jumps and drops throughout the trail. It's a whole lot of awesome packed into a nice system. This place was packed with riders just hanging out and enjoying the beautiful day and amazing riding conditions. Very cool vibe at the trail head. I'll be revisiting Lock 4 every time I visit Nashville!

This trail system is very well maintained and has very good markings as long as you pick up a map. It's a good piece of well-rolling singletrack with a few good jumps. The hill climbs aren't too difficult and the lack of roots and rocks in the trail keep your speed and cardio level up. There is a lot of trail for a small space.

Customer Service

Start at the silo and ride the Big Loop Trail (denoted "BLT"). Be sure to hit the jumps close to the trailhead a few times.

went to lock 4 today for the first time. had high expectations and my expectations were met. i consider myself an aggressive trail rider who likes and fast trail and this is the place to come for that. very very fast fun trail with just a few technical parts. a kinda tabletop jump near the beginning was fun and i got around 3 1/2 ft of air. fun place to play around at. slightly confusing as where to go once your on the trail but overall a great trail

I've been out to all the trails around Nashville but I always come back to Lock 4. Lock 4 is not the most challenging trail but I do believe it is the most fun. The trail is extremely fast and smooth. The best part about it is that there are very few "switch-backs" which keeps the trail from getting boring. As far as inclines, they are typically located at the end of each trail making the majority a downhill speedway. Some of the trails run along the bank of Old Hickory Lake making the scenery fantastic.
Lock 4 is great for all levels of riders. The beginners can take it slow and still have fun while advanced riders see the technical side by speeding up. The only thing that I find disappointing is the lack of obstacles throughout the trails. Other that that, Lock 4 is a great all around trail and I would highly recommend it for any rider.
