The Bradford Dam area is couple hundred acres, with a flood control dry 60’ x 1000’ dam with wide open spaces a few dirt, grass, and wooded or rocky hills and creeks and lakes. A Peco trail crosses it. There is a trail which is basically deer paths in Warrington Area which needs some users to make it keep from getting overgrown. It is a potential path, which could connect the headwaters of the Little Neshaminy down to the Neshaminy and the Delaware river, via Tyler state park and other open greenways. If you like adventure, and finding your own way, this might be for you. You may want to bring a map from yahoo or a local phonebook. But let me describe it, and if you print this you may be able to get through it. Warrington Township is seeking opinions on how to develop this Bike and hike greenway.

Lower Nike Parks Folly N of County line rd, past Dam, paths are overgrown. Alt start Lowes Cross to W 611, N Neshaminy creek,, L Kansas rd to creek. Go into woods on R near the creek or through side streets to follow creek to Bradford Dam. Eventually may be like the Pennypack Creek trail. If the Creek is very low, or frozen, one could cross under rt 611 from the west to east from Behind the Cottman transmission shop, and or billiards shops if they gave you permission, otherwise cross at the lights, carefully! On the East side of 611, from Lowes area, make your way to the wall around Lowes out front by 611. There is a small pathway either along the wall or along the creek. To get across Street Road from south to North you may either have to follow along the creek to way behind the La fitness, even up to where it splits off to a little tributary up along Valley road area. But once you are at the Street road Bridge, with a MTB you should be able to cross under the roadway, or cross on top at the light. On the West and North side of street road, there are streets which can be followed until they end.. There is a left through the woods which will connect to the back end of a farm being developed into a multi use shopping/retirement community. If you take the first Right it will put you onto the end of Stallion rd, and you can make a right onto Carriage Way. Make a Right onto Palomino and Right onto Valley. Pass the Creek and the Parking, bathroom, and hiking trail, and follow the directions to Log College rd and Creek rd for another nice flat ride through back roads. There is a short section of sewer easement which brings you out to Valley rd. An alternative route, on the East and North side of Street road, there is a pathway along the creek on the East side ( Valley Rd side). Pass behind the Valley Apartments, 6 stories tall. Continue 200yds and come out at Triumph way tot lot. Bike Left, and Left at Valley rd, and Right on Sinkler to follow Log College rd. Valley rd is the border of Warminster. There is a path on the North side of the Creek, but it is marked no bikes. So follow the creek along Creek road. This will take you up to Mearns road in Ivyland Pa. Continue up Log college rd, carefully cross Bristol Rd and make a left onto Graeme Way. This can be followed up to a left on Old Old york road, and a Right onto Creek road. This would make the trip about 4 miles, but due to lack of a clear path, it could take much longer than you would think. Once a path is developed, it could be used easier.
