This is hands down the worst riding I have done in my entire life. This place was recommened to me and I was told it was the best riding around. I don't know how anyhow could possibly think that this is anywhere near good riding. If you live riding over rocks and roots for 23 miles, this trail is for you. there are no hills and half of the trial is an access road. I read another review saying that someone has seen many bikes being dragged out because of how hard the trail was. The trial isn't hard at all, it was just the large rocks over the entire trail. So if you love riding In rock Corey's you will absolutely love this place.

Customer Service

I do not recommend you take any route to be brutialy honest. Save your self the time and go somewhere else.

Rocky Gap is by far one of the nicest trails ever riden. There are two loops the easiest one is alot of fun with areas you can really open up with some nice inclines along the way, there are some challenging areas on the first loop but nothing a 250 2wd couldnt handle. The 2nd loop is much more difficult with several rock hill climbs and alot of turns. There is one section where I still question how I accomplished the rocks with a 2wd. By the way I do own a 4wd but the brother in law was using it! The first loop can be done in about an hour with the second loop taking about 1 1/2 to 2 hrs. Usually we just do the first loop several times, it's just that much fun to ride. Watch out for bears on the paths, we almost hit one this past weekend.

From Tidioute, take 337 all the way there, about 12 miles. Look for the signs.

I was in the area for a contracting job and had prior knowledge of the trail so i decided to load up my gear and make a half day of it. SWEEET!!! To tell the truth i only got about half way around the expert 10 mile loop before flatting out on a "Rocky Gap". This could be due to the brand new wheels or me riding like an animal because the trail was so fast and flowable. Very rocky, a little muddy, some huge berm turns and boulder drops. Bring the big bike and have a ball. There is also the possiblity for shuttle runs if you figure out the maze of fire roads and well access roads that criss cross the area. This trail is one i will come back to.

I have ridden and raced in many locations along northern Pa. and the southern tier of NY. With that said, this is still the best riding I have found. The Rocky gap loops work every aspect of your ability. Both physical and technical. I have seen more than one bike have to be carried out just from how hard the trail beats you in places. If you want smooth long singletrack, go elsewhere. You want fast technical rips through the woods, ride this place.

From Warren, follow 337 south through pleasant township. the parking lot is about 6 miles from the intersection of Pleasant drive and route 6.

This trail is outstanding. It is closed to atv's in the spring and fall, so you have it all to yourself. Riding the west loop backwards is my favorite, most of the atv traffic is slow due to the technical nature of the trail, and the faster bikes can be heard well in advance. During spring thaw, the trail is nearly unrideable due to the surface being either thick clay or very abrasive limestone powder. If you know what you are doing, you can make the east loop super long by riding into the state game lands and up to hearts content and then riding the tanbark trail back towards Rocky Gap with a little road riding to link it up. There are lease roads to the east of 337 that minimize the time on pavement. You can also make a nice loop down thru Morrison Run and back up by the radio tower at the top of Mohawk Ave with numerous offroad routes back to the west loop.

Customer Service

Ride the west loop backwards, it seems like it is all downhill. The east loop connects up with the state game lands for a super long ride.
