Hubbard Mountain - TRAIL

Hubbard Mountain - Trail, Scranton, Pennsylvania

This trail network is built and maintained by the Hubbard Bicycle Club which holds regular rides here every Thursday evening at 6pm (rain, shine, snow or high water). Rides leave from "the barn" (see website for directions). Technical singletrack, double track, steep climbs/decents, rock gardens and even a skinny or two make up some of the excellent riding in this area. Visit the website at www.hubbardbicycleclub.com to get more info, see pics or to get on the e-mail list.

This trail was great back in the good old days. Great climbs, great singletrack and some cool views. Would be a great place to get married.

Try not to go to the barn if you've been banned for life.

I have been cross-country riding for many years across PA, WV, and NJ, and this is the best set of tracks I have been on. Hands-down this is the best in the Scranton-Wilkes-Barre area.

I am not a great uphill climber, but I suffer through it to get to the downhills. Before riding here, I dreaded any uphill, but honestly, the uphills are as much fun as the downhills here. The trails are designed so ingeniously too to not cause you to spend an hour of climbing followed by 1 minute of downhill, but rather it is built with intricate turns and switchbacks which make it so much fun whether you are on the uphill climb or on the downhill.
