Nesquehoning Rim Trail 2 - Trail, Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania

The short innocent description provided at the link below doesn’t do this trail justice. My brother and I rode/hiked this beast end of June 2009. Be prepared for hiking at least 2-3 miles of unridably steep accents. When flowing through tunnels of mountain Laurel bushes in full bloom and testing your skills over some of the gripiest rock face akin to Moab’s Slickrock you mind will be blown away. The summit provides sick views of the entire valley. Screaming descents on our return home even enraged a huge charging porcupine. NO body was hurt. If using the free maps from "jtrails" beware of No.7 this hidden single track is not marked and not easy to find. Marks No.13 - No.20 are also not marked and there are several other trail/fire roads that make your very close to finished exit frustrating. Just remember keep going downhill and stay right. You should come right out onto the same ball field you started from. You will need at least 3.5 hrs to finish this ride.
