Some of the best single track around. This has been kept secret for to long.
They are not MTB trails but are a combination of big climbs and flowing single track.
Stream crossings and technical rock sections.

Customer Service

Park at Miller Trail parking lot.
Miller trail is a 1.5 mile enduro style run.Fast and sweet with a short climb in the middle.
Every trail is a winner. I ride both directions on most trails and have a great time.

Absolutely gorgeous wilderness preserve. You truly feel like you are riding in the deep wilderness. There are many segments in which the ability to mtb is by coincidence and not design. Rocky, rugged terrain with breathtaking climbs & technical descents. This place is a true gem.

Customer Service

Hess trail in any direction will do just fine. The singletrack side of Tebolt is great and the transition to Mill Run leads to some beautiful scenery in the pines. Miller trail has a killer climb/descent (pick your poison).

Was taken there by some friends who knew of the place. Awesome riding. There are some technical trails throughout the area but don't last long enough that even an intermediate rider couldn't enjoy.

Similar Products Used: Not far from there is Big Bear Lake near Hazleton WV. Great riding there. Also is Coopers Rock State Park.

I rode these trails earlier in the week. This is some of the finest singletrack I have ever ridden. Trails are very tight and twisty. Very technical from that standpoint but not too many obstacles. Very scenic and remote. Very well kept. This is one of PA's best kept secrets. Thanks to C Morris for letting me in on this. Lots of technical climbs, Rhododendrum mazes. Not very fast riding-took me over 2 hours to go 10 miles. I rode by myself but I would recommend taking a friend as the cell coverage very poor and this is a very remote wilderness area. Pain in the butt to get to but well worth the trip. If you can find laurel caverns you are pretty close.

Like the name, this is a Wild Area. Very little in the way of development. The trails are rugged. Some are very steep technical downhills, some just flow through the woods on great single track. I always see wildlike (a black bear once!) and I hardly ever see an other people. I've encountered four hikers on two separate rides and that is it for four years. A well kept, underutilized area.

Customer Service

I like parking on the Skyline Drive entrance. A short downhill trail brings you to the Hess/Debolt Trail junction. Take the Debolt Trail on a long downhill with lots of rocks and roots, logs, creek crossings to the bottom. Take the Quebec Run fireroad until you see the West Trail uphill, take it to Brocker (uphill) to Hess. Take the left at that junction and is a fabulous up hill/downhill route back to the original Hess/Debolt junction where you started. It's only 5 or so miles, but a gorgeous ride and I guaruntee you will be winded.

Some of the best trails that I have seen. Many tree crossings, rock gardens, and bridges to drop off of if you are a free rider. You can bike for five+ hours and never see anyone else.

Customer Service

You must work hard to find this treasure. SORRY, I did.

Pretty sick, Pretty rugged. Lots of sweet log crossings, some tight, technical rocky drops. One of the few remaining places to ride where you can spend 4+ hours in the woods and no more than 20 minutes of it on fireroads, lots of virgin singletrack.
Sidenote: I read in BIKE that the Pennsylvania Game Commission or some org. like that is considering outlawing bikes on their lands. If you find it, be cool, don't trash it. This is not a place you want to lose....

The Quebec Run loop is absolutely pristine - let's keep it that way. Do us all a favor and stay off the trail early/late in the season when it's wet. Riders who tear up trails in the winter or after a hard rain are ruining access for the rest of us. Riding in the slop sucks anyway.
