Decided to go check out the trails I cut my teeth on and was sorely disappointed. The area north of 74th is way overgrown and some of the woods have been bulldozed down. It's sad, this area used to be great but now it's not worth the trip.

No Facilities. DO NOT "end up" on Tinker AFB. Great single track. Lots of trail. Good drops. Fun jumps. By no means simple.

Customer Service

I-240 to Douglas. Douglas to 74th. About a quarter mile on the left. Dirt parking.

I haven't ridden this trail in about three years but I cut my teeth on it and used to be pretty regular. For a first time rider, it was a lot of fun. Some decent hills (right out of the chute). I've gone over the handlebars more than once. It is not an endurance "ball-buster" but I was always looking forward to the cooler waiting in the truck. To get on to the actual Tinker reservation you have to cross Douglas and pass thru a guarded gate but they DO have some auxilary property that borders the trails and I'll second the word of caution about watching your step, the Security cops aren't known for their jovial good nature.

Customer Service

pretty straight forward

I rode it in early august this year. I spent about 4 hours playing in here. No there are no mountains here Mr. Jones. You have to do your own trail carving here. The trail that did exhist is some what marked. Motorcycles have carved ruts too deep to even pedal through. your pedals get stuck if you try to go through them. Some of the rocky dropins are well worth the work
one of the nastiest was about a 15 footer that ended with 3 foot of vert into a rocky creek. If that thing is not manuvered correctly you can end your ride in the first mile. There is nothing impassable here you just need great caution. The best thing to do is find a section play in it for a while and then move on to the next. If you're looking for real mountains your in the wrong part of the country Mr. Jones.

Customer Service

from the entrace to the trail go counter clockise.
there are many other side trails and sections to play in. You can also easily find yourself lost with out trying.

Fair riding for Oklahoma. No doubt that the idiots on motorcycles have pretty much ruined it for Mtn Bikers or anybody else who would just like to get away from the city and into nature. Constantly watching to make sure I didn't get run over by somebody's Kawasaki. Dirty, lot's of trash. They should close the North side of Draper to motor vehicles and boats, make it urban wilderness. Anyway, the trails are rutted out, some drop-ins and very short climbs. All in all flat and a little sandy in parts.

I first started "mountain biking" here. I thought it was ok until i moved and found a real trail. I wouldn't waste any time on that or any other trail in oklahoma again. There is definitely no climbing or descents unless 5 feet(and only five) elevation in 100 feet is a climb. If you haven't ridden any trails, this could be ok to see if the sport is interesting; however, I wouldn't really base any decicions on mountain biking unless a real trail was ridden. That means get a plane ticket or get in your car and drive a minimum to New Mexico or Colorado. If you like mountain biking, move away from oklahoma.
