Great trail system for taking children to learn mountain biking! It also is great to the locals that just want to get in some singletrack after work. Also the Poland Municipa; Forest is awsome for riding in the winter due to the lack of elevation changes. The Rust Belt Revival Trail Coalition has been working with the park board to provide users better trails!

It got some good singletrack with very little technical sections. Overall, Its a good place to work on your speed and get a quick ride in. I would not suggest people come in from more than 20 min away. It is flat as can be, but still fun to mess around in.

Customer Service

Ride the singletrack and forget the fireroad path.

Not a bad trail for beginning bikers, or those who are looking to get in quick ride.

It seems like alot of people don't like this trail. Maybe they are lost and can't find the cool single track. I think the place is awesome. I love all the little ewok village bridges all over the place. I know poland woods doesn't offer a crazy workout since it's rather flat but the place is a ton of fun.

The reviews on this trail that are negative are likely from individuals who haven't gotten off of the main gravel loop. There is a hiking/biking loop that goes through here, off of that there is some fun singletrack, complete with plank bridges and the occasional creek crossing. Definitely fun to practice on and work on some skills. It's not going to win any awards but it is fun to hack around on. Easy to get turned around though, back in the woods where a lot of the trails start, but most of them lead you back to familiar ground, nothing to worry about. That's the beauty of this place, your not far from civilization at any point.

Customer Service

Enter woods, make right at closed off fire road. Down that road, hang a left at cross roads and can enter lots of singletrack trails.

can hardly count this as a mountain biking experience. there is really nothing technical, and it really is only good for taking first timers on

this trail is good for beginners...lots of wide-wide open trails, but beware of pedestrians and canines hoofing it...also i was blazing through this "couple mile" loop, you can get lost if you try, plus there are some steep descents...oh yeah every now and again, from what the cat at the gas station told me, families with munchkins ride here too...so be careful......All in all if your looking for a pleasant ride to burn your legs on, this isn't too bad

Customer Service

from akron take 76E to where it turns into 80/680 then get off at the very last exit...i think there are two poland exits, take the second one. make a right off the highway, i think you'll be on state rt 224, take this for about a 1/2 mile until you reach the main street intersection then ask for directions to poland woods

The other reviews on this site are right, this isn't too technical. But I thoroughly enjoy this place. Lots of single track trails off of a main gravel loop with some great scenery. You can get a little lost but in my 3 or 4 times there, I haven't gotten in to too much trouble, nearly every single track leads you back to some public landmark eventually.
I think this is a hidden gem because there is enough to challenge the itermediate to serious rider(frequent wooden "bridges" that are extremely narrow covering the occasional streams and small holes) and also it is realtively flat and easy enough for beginners, even rigid frames. A good foray for newbies as well as a refreshing change for experienced riders who don't want to necessarily contend with major hills or drop offs every ride.

I give it 3 (almost 4) tires because it is secluded, not too heavily used but frequent enough where you don't feel like you are in the middle of nowhere, and because it is pretty damn fun. It doesn't get 5 tires because of lack of hills, drops, and techical sections.

Customer Service

Route 224 to 170 South, quick right onto College Road next to Drug store.

Similar Products Used: Beaver Creek (Much more technical and for the more serious mtb rider), and West Branch (just a notch more technical than Poland because of some hills, etc.)
