Hocking College (Didi Mau) - TRAIL

Hocking College (Didi Mau) - Trail, Nelsonville, Ohio

Constant uphill/downhill battle. Keep on the look because trails are unmarked and sometimes lead to cliffs or rocky pits.

Only went there once and it was super muddy. If it rained a lot before, it's almost not worth going. Can't wait till the weather gets better, 'cause we definitely have to go there again. "Watch out for fish"

This trail, or series of trails, is not too bad if you can stay off the horse trails. The rest of the trails are a little wider than most single track. There are some very challenging uphills and downhills. These trails are not as good as the ones out at Lake Hope, or even Sells Park.

Customer Service

Go to the nature center at Hocking College and the trail starts next to the hawk shed.

When I was a student at Hocking, this trail ROCKED. Have not ridden there in years but still know it like the back of my gloves. Good downhills, tricky climbing, and a good share of MUD. The Vets from Athens put on a excellent show on the second saturday in March.

The first hill is long but very ridable. It snakes through the woods and comes to a high point. Then a steep drop to the right; levels out into the most technical part of the trail. Its steep with many root and rock infested tight turns and ends up in a swamp. The route back up the hill is fun and the last downhill has lots of watersheds. Lots of fun.

This is a very fun, fast trail system. There are some sections with good climbs and others good decents....however, nothing very technical. This is a great training area. I often take my dog who loves to ride alongside since it is so secluded and no one seems to care. If you have never ridden the Di Di Mau....do so. This has been great beginners race for me. Lou H. is the best!!!!!!
