This trail is becoming better and better. There is a mystery man out there who is adding trails and also renovates the trail often. The only problem is the large amount of glass still on the trail. If that mystery guy is out there send me an e-mail. I also noticed that some people have been racing there.

The best in the area, of course there is no others! Oakwood is a great place to ride especially for a city park it has a little of everything. There are three really steep climbs to test your climbing prowess some off camber switchbacks and three great stream crossings.

Customer Service

Ride this trail clockwise untill you you cross the big bridge over the stream then loop around the inside

This place was a little better than what I expected for Napolean OH. But Napolean has always promoted alternative sports (ever check out the sheet metal half pipe... very nice skateboard ramp).

The front part of the trail is the best. It has all the hills, on the other side of the creek is mostly flat.

The trail that my friend and I carved out ended being about 2.5 miles, so we did that 4 or 5 times.

Takes us about 45 min - 1 hour to get there and we were still happy with the trail.

This is good as NW Ohio mountain biking gets.

What do you do with the land around a landfill? You make a mountain bike trail out of it. Obviously the City of Napoleons Parks and Recreation Department had their thinking caps on for this decision. This place has something for everyone. Some of the more experienced riders might not find most of the trail too difficult, but they will certainly have trouble with some of the climbs. It rained for three days prior to our visit. This made the creek crossings about three to four feet deep (I am guessing they are usually 6 to 12 inches), and the bridge that usually crosses the creek was washed out. So, we had no option but to take a wetting to get to the back part of the trail. The flat parts of the trail where under about 4 to 8 inches of water and the hills were really muddy, but we still managed to have a good time. Overall, it is a great place to spend an afternoon.

Try to go on a day that no one else is there, and make your own route.

This is alot more than a beginners ride.We have rerouted two sections of trail to bypass trouble spots and increase the trail length. Spring rain makes for some sloopy riding. If it rains a couple of inches you should wate a couple of days because the river backs up into the creeks around the park. After april it will get hard and fast when the rains go away.5 miles of fun trails will be here for you to try.We are working on new new maps with color to mark the trails and to put them into loops so you don't get lost.

Customer Service

I ride most of the trail clockwide, but if the park is empty I'll ride a lap counterclockwise.I plan on getting better maps out to shops and to spokejunkies.com .

The trail is a great place to start riding. There is usually no one there (at least when I go) Some of the hills are steep, but climbable. Watch out for some of the creek crossings (the rocks wash away). Also watch out for runoff rutts (from rain). Other than that this is a great trail. Short but one heck of a ride.

This is a great trail. This trail is not what you would call a expert trail, but it is still some what challenging. One problem with the trail is that it is so short. Other then that the trail isn't too bad considering that the trail is in flat north west Ohio. The trail it's self has short, but semi steep hills. There are creek crossings also. All in all the trail isn't too hard but still fun.

This trail is really exciting for boring NW Ohio. The trail has been mostly muddy this spring making the trail much slower then it could be. However the mud is fun and makes for more of a challenging environment. I'm betting this trail is much faster in the dryer months. It has a few stream crossings and a fun whoops section in the back, but watchout for mole holes. The course is great for beginners like myself and a good ride for experinced riders. Every time I have gone to ride this trail I have never seen another biker out there, that can be good or boring. Rider beware, I have punctured a tube evertime I ride here, so come prepared. I am giving this trail four stars because it the only legal trail in the area and its a down right blast.
