Dublin Trails - TRAIL

Dublin Trails - Trail, Dublin, Ohio

The trails begin at the dirt pile. All trails have been cut out with ATV/dirtbikes/trucks so they are wide single-tracks. The dirt pile has a few jumping areas. Behind the dirt pile is a farming trail that winds around the fields. Look for the trail openings - not well marked but you should find them. The set-up is long and narrow, bouncing in and out of the creek bed. Seldon used trail, which is nice. I have only seen one jogger and some dude walking his dog. Its a little difficult because there are sticks laying all over the trail. When you get to the far west side of the trail there are some small loops you can take to hit some jumps and catch some air. Not worth any type of drive, only if you live in the area.

No longer there. It's a housing development.

This "trail" is AWESOME!! For ten year old girls, or guys who have been fixed. Don't wast your time. Look for urban obstacles to ride, something that might teach you something, or how about getting in the car and driving to a trail!!

Customer Service

Out and back. Takes about thirty seconds.

Just got done riding after a few days a mild showers and there wasn't hardly any mud, just in the creek crossings. The trails are pretty fast because of their width, but there are many sticks still laying on the trails so you do have to watch your step. Finally did two downhills that I was worried about doing by myself - they are sweet, very fast and smooth, right into the creek bed and back up the other side.
There are 5 or 6 uphills that can't be ridden up, at least not yet. They were very hard just to walk up with a bike (definite dirtbike only), but coming down was fast.
I have to give these trails a personal 5 fatty's because they are very close to my house, they are similar, if not better than, Alum Creek. I have seen a total of 4 people (none on bikes), 3 dogs, and 8 deer. Anytime you can ride a trail that has more animals than people IT'S ALL GOOD!

Customer Service

Warm up on the dirt pile, catch some air on the 3 to 4 foot lips. My friend jumped far enough to flatland his bike and blew a tire (the jumps are sweet). Head towards the woods and look for the trail opening.

There are some sweet downhills, but up to this point there was only a few ways to get up to the top, and that required a hand full of throttle from your dirt bike or ATV.
Now there are the beginnings of some trails on the top of the Ravine that you can get to without having to walk op the steeps. Look for them - they are there.
Once again I was outnumbered by the wildlife on Saturday's ride. I saw 3 horses (with riders), one Lime-R-Runner dog, 3 deer, a woodpecker pecking, and a dad and his daughter on ATV's. The place was packed (yeah right).

Customer Service

The newly cut out trails, if you can find them.

As most central Ohioans know, it rained like a mutha yesterday (8/9/00). I had a bad feeling the Dublin Trails would be soaked and soupy, holding off any good riding for at least a week. This was not the case. The only water/mud spots were in the creek crossings, but they weren't that muddy. I thought that the inch of rain that fell would make the creek bed a flowing mass. The truck ruts around the Dirt Pile were filled with a lot of water, but I looked at it as good practice for the log bridges at V-Knob - you just have stay in between the ruts on the high ground, or into the drink.
It did look like a tornado ripped through a trailer park with all the sticks and trees laying across the paths'.
Come ride these trails when Alum is a mud puddle!

I'm not sure what trails the guy before me rode - He must have missed the ones in the woods. I consider the area to have 3 sections. 1) The moto-cross area that has a lot of jumps. I saw 4 guys on dirt bikes when I rode. 2) The cross-country area. These are the trails made for the farm fields. Really wide and easy riding (probably 2 miles worth). 3) The wooded trail riding. Nice wide trails, obviously made by 4-wheelers. There are a few water crossings, usually with a steep incline ranging from 2 feet to 25 feet.
Drier than Alum!!
That guys website in the first reviews doesn't show all that this place has to offer. But its worth checking out.

My wife and I rode this trail on a Sunday morning and saw no one else but deer. We have switched from road to MTB and are just getting the hang of the off-road style of biking. This trail is good for just that. A few places have some technical aspects but overall it is not technical. Great for beginners and learning how to ride off-road. Probably not real challenging for advanced riders.

I am a beginner rider and I thought this was an excellent trail to ride on. It is great for beginners because it offers a variety of new experiances that beginners need to go through to ride mountain bikes.
