Update: After almost a decade of riding at Salisbury Community Park (SCP); this trail has become our (my children and I) go to park. The intricate trail system at SCP has been significantly revised since its original conception by Mr. Dehart. The countless hours this individual (Dehart) and others has given to SCP shows; as my children and I have fallen in love with SCP. While the kids love other parks, (Lake Norman State Park, Sherman Branch, ect..) this has become there one stop shop for a quick fix. The trail has switchbacks, skinnies, whoop de doo’s, and other man made obstacles. My kids maintained an average pace of over five miles per hour which isn’t bad considering one of my children just turned Eight years old (they maintained the pace for over four miles). While I’m aware that most people ride faster than this; I’d also like to point out that most of us aren’t eight years old either. Moreover, I would encourage anyone to get out and ride SCP. This trail is truly amazing. On a final note, I want to thank the volunteers that made SCP into what it is today.

I like this trail. It's close to where I live and it's reasonably fun. For mountain bike extremists it might be a little boring but overall it's a good workout with some fun and challenging spots for a novice like myself. I don't think that it flows as well as some have said but in certain sections it does flow very well. It's mostly non-technical singletrack that cuts back and forth with very few obstacles (ie. roots, rocks). It definitely needs some berms in the corners to help you keep your speed up but other than I don't think it needs much else. Some bridges would be awesome. I would be more than willing to help build and add on to the trail if people are interested. Feel free to email me if you'd like to talk about it. My email is andrewnance21@gmail.com.

Go down the gravel drive toward the lake. You will see a trail map on a small billboard. The trailhead is just behind it. There's a sign on a tree that shows you where it is.

There has been lots of trail work done here recently. Added trail, labels, roots removed, grooming, berms, etc......It is great workout and friendly to all ages and skills. My 11year old joined me recently on the railroad loop. The trail is a treasure to all who find it and ride it.

After Riding in the area for many years, and riding most trails around I must give this trail a great review. Almost as its your own private trail, well groomed, flowing, fun, and there is plenty of room to get a good work out in. A must ride

Start in the parking lot and stay on the gravel path until you see a large bill board sign on the left hand side. Right past that you will see the start point of the single track.

Customer Service

This place is a diamond in the rough and I actually stumbled on it by mistake... This mountain bike park is extremely fast and has minimal traffic. It is faster that Lake Norman, Beach Spring, White Water Rafting Center and anything else I have ridden locally. These trails have very good flow with minimal pedaling. I would encourage anyone to try this trail whether or not you are a novice, beginner, intermediate, or advance rider. Ride it all and make sure you post your review.
