Current rate is $6 a car during the summer. 4 trails in all, but really boils down to a few short loops and a 7 mile "South Loop." I rode the South loop and enjoyed it, but I'd recommend full suspension if you plan to really keep any speed through the trail. There are a few fast flowing sections, but most of the trail is solid roots or awkward drops into steep dips. No banked turns, but there are a couple of optional ladders and obstacles to try. All-in-all, it's the best single track riding in the Triangle, but can't compete with the mountains (Wilkesboro & Tsali).

Customer Service

Ride the short loops, then the South Loop.

Rode this trail (Red and Blue loops) for the first time this weekend. Red loop to the West was about 2 miles and very easy. A couple of small climbs to get you warmed up for the much longer (about 8 miles) Blue Southern loop. The Blue loop had more technical terrain and longer climbs with a few switchbacks. For central NC it's very hilly. Nice views of Falls Lake. A few nice dips, one ledge about 18 inches high to launch off of, a few tight spots to test your nerve between close trees.
All in all, I recommend this trail for a good workout, and would say riders can choose how difficult they make the ride based on speed.

simply fast. If speed is your happy place this is it. If you are a slow rider there is nothing hard about the trail. which in a way makes it nice for all levels of riding. There are some harder climbs when you don't carry speed into them. It has enough technicals to keep it interesting for me. If it is to easy go faster.

Very nice trails for the area. The best so far that I have biked in Raleigh. Started out with West Loop leading into South loop. The West loop gives you a good warm up before you head to the harder south loop. South loop is the longest and most advanced trail that they have. It is a pretty fast flowing trail if you can negotiate root systems. They have a few nice dips and steep drops that you ride down. For the more advance rider when you are on the South loop I highly encourage you to take the Drop Zone trail lots of nice drops in that section. It adds about 1 1/2 to the south loop but is well worth it. Other than that don't pass this trail up.

Very well designed trail. South Loop is by far the best, start on the others to get warmed up and then let it rip. Nice terrain with ups / downs, rocks, roots, and drop offs. One of the better trail systems in the Raleigh area. Downside is the $5 fee; wait till winter months and ride for free!

These trails have come a long way from when they were first reviewed. With the south loop and 3 mile drop zone loop there are plenty of trails. Lots of fast sections and technical areas on the new loops to mix things up. One of my favorite trails in the area.

Customer Service

All the trails are one way loops, Riding the west loop to the south loop, and then riding the drop zone will give you a nice 12miles ride and plenty of variety.

Nice clean and well maintained trails. Very well marked with large signage and trail markers everywhere. The $5 dollar fee is a little steep for someone with limited endurance and time like myself. I spent 45 minutes on the west loop and 20 minutes on the inner loop. That is nearly 5 bucks an hour to ride for me. I am not really complaining though. The park is nice with facilities, picnic sites, etc and would be a nice place to spend the day with friends riding, kayaking, fishing, etc. There were a few other riders out yesterday (saturday) and one that I talked to had allready ridden all four trails and was getting ready to ride some more so he was definately getting his moneys worth. Overall, I say ride it, its worth it and the fees should stop at the end of september. Oh and that reminds me, the trails have alot of hardwood trees so I am sure in the fall it will be a beautiful place to ride.

I rode west loop and inner loop yesterday. The west loop (posted as 2.4 miles)was my kind of trail. SIngle track, just enough twist and turns, some small whoops here and there and the best part, long winding downhill sections that let you catch your breath after the uphill sections. There were a couple of long climbs that tested my heart and lungs but most of the climbs are more gradual with short flat sections to catch you breath before the next climb. As I said before though, the payoff is long downhills. Not suicidal by any stretch of the imagination. Just lond and winding. The inner loop is a mile or so shorter than the west loop. I was pretty tired when I turned onto the inner loop so my desciption may be a little skewed. The inner loop has shorter but steeper up hill sections with less flat trail in between to catch your breath. One or two of the downhills are quite steep and rocky and atleast one of the climbs is very rocky, rooty. I didnt enjoy the inner loop as much as the west loop but I am sure that each of the four trails has something to offer some everyone.

Overall, this is a very fun trail. I think it is a great blend of challenge for the beginner (if you combine West & South...South alonoe is a bit too easy and short) and will get the heart rate up and allow the more experienced rider to have alot of fun. Like some others have said, some decent climbs, but they are usually follwed by a little cool down. Some fun, fast downhill and some nice piled logs will keep a smile on your face and sweat coming down your face. I think this is a great, well maintained trail and can be enjoyed by everyone. Impossible to get lost or off track. Also of note: they is currently (August 21) a $5 charge for an all day pass to ride. I believe it will be free of chrge come the end of September.

Customer Service

Start at beginning of West route for a warm up and connect up with the South Loop. Together this should give you about 10 miles. After completion of the South Loop you will be put out right where you started.

These trails are great! If you combine all trails, including the south loop, you can put together a nice 12-13 mile ride. While not the most technical in the world, you can really work up some nice speed and hit some really nice jumps. The South loop contains some nice downhill and uphill sections, and the newly termed "drop zone" is incredible! These trails are currently my favorite in the area.

Customer Service

warm up on small loops, left, right and west and then hit the southloop, be sure to enter the drop zone within the south loop

I think these trails are great. West, Outer, and Inner loops are fast and fun....great for beginners. South loop is great for those who seek more of a challenge....lots of good climbs. The only thing these trails lack are obstacles, but otherwise very, very nice.
