Regency Park - Trail, Cary, Carolina

Regency Park - Trail, Cary, Carolina

DESCRIPTION

This trail is pretty new, several alternate routes you can go, I don't know if they all lead to the end. Lots of uphill action, but not any ditches or drop-offs. Very windy paths, and good markings in case you get off track.

This trail is far from being Unrideable. I go out there many times a week to help build and those trails are so fun. Lots of jumps of wood and dirt, and lots of downhill sections. I spend all day at the trails and it takes me a good 4 hours to do every single trail there and the jumps there make you want to stop every time you see them because there very well built

Customer Service

Bobsled course- go underneath the power lines and over the bridge, and follow the trail. Also the Frisbee loop- go up past JLINE and go straigt. Many drops and jumps

Alas regency park is no more, development has overtaken it and ruined it. Essentially unrideable so look for something else. Too bad it was a pretty good workout.

i just rode this trail for the first time today...and i met somebody on the trail and told me about this site...first of all, i love the trails, even though i didnt go on much of it becuase i thought that i might of gotten lost, and didnt have much time yo spend. But what i went on was incredible...there are some trails for beginner riders, while there are others for advanced riders. However, I would like to go on this trail again as soon as i can, but i need a map...so if anybody has a map of these trails, please email it to me at fmach7@yahoo.com thanks alot

Customer Service

if you would prefer a more scenic route, then i would recommend that you enter the trail through one of two entrances that are off of the path around the lake

Rode this for the first time today. Meet a guy in the parking lot named Luke that gave me a map of the trails which helped tremendously. I don't think there is a way to get lost since all of the trails are bounded by some major roads but a map helps. Rode the "new" trails which are on close to the powerlines. Nice, fast trails with only one serious hill. The "old" trails which are through the concrete barriers at the end of Regency Parkway are an intertwined bunch of trails. Intersections occur frequently. Some nice stunt work here. There are some 3-4' drops built over downed trees. All of the stunts seem to be well built out of lumber. A real nice "log walk" where someone skinned the top of a downed tree and made cross sections in it for some traction. A 3-4' drop built over this downed tree as well. Trails are ridden-in well which makes them fast.

Customer Service

Feels like you would need to ride these trails many times to develop a route that worked well.

3 chilis for the Aerobic. Not a whole lot of climbing here but the usual fast up and down. 4 chilis for the technical difficulty if you include the stunts. I would reserve a 5 for something like Moab. 4 chilis for overall rating. Compared to all the other trails in this area, this one is a blast. I would reserve a 5 for something like New Light Road trails.

Tried out Regency for the first time this past weekend with a much more experienced buddy. From the perspective of being a fairly new rider, the trails were not overly difficult, but very hilly. I found myself having to rest after some of the longer hill climbs, but my buddy didn't seem to have a problem :-) The terrain had some interesting characteristics including a creek crossing (yes, with water), and several fairly steep drop-offs. Did I mention the hills? Good scenery if you just want to get out in nature for the day. One request: Trail maps would really help newcomers become more familiar with the area.

Customer Service

Turn right just before you get to the concrete barriers. Good trail system to start with. After that, head past the barriers and keep on trucking.

The older trails, next to the lake are lots of fun once you learn a clean route and limit your decisions on the turns. The up and down loops of the trail can be great fun. The new sections near the cell tower and next to the power lines are the best for a good solid work out with fewer decisions. The newest section starting just to the left of the cell tower is still alittle soft, thanks to the team that built the bridges it will someday be a very fast trail. Good job on the bridges guys. I live in Cary and these are great trails so close for quick rides or much longer rides once you establish a route.

Customer Service

Park @ the Office lot @ the end of Regency, go thru the barriers to the older sections or turn right toward the cell tower and look for trails on the left and right before the power lines.

I have not been on this trail for about a year. Was on it last weekend. It is better than it was before. Great trail. It has something for everybody. It has stuff for the experienced riders, as well as the novice rider. It's one of the best trails in the area.

This is the best trail I have ever ridden so far. There are a bunch of log rolls, gulleys, and uphills and downhills . The only problem is that the whole system is like a maze of forks and loops. Don't come here for the first time unless you have an extra while to find your way out. I wish the people who made this trail could make a map or something. Great trail overall.

Customer Service

Couldn't tell which way I went.

ben described this path very well. It is very 'mountainos', but at times it is has relaxing hills to glide down. Lots of construction near the beginning of the path though.

Customer Service

There is really only a few ways to go, but only one main route that doesn't lead to a dead end.
