Malamondos - TRAIL

Malamondos - Trail, Asheville, Carolina

Malamondos is 2.1 miles of brand new trail built by Ed Sutton & Steve Thomas of Trail Dynamics out of Brevard NC. This trail is located in the Bent Creek Experimental forest and is a decending trail "heavily spiced" with "downhill style" features such as big roller, tables, kickers, and berms. This trail can be riden by biginners to experts, but if riden at speed, can quickly get you into trouble if you don''t have you "Mojo" working. The top is tight, with lots of whoops and bank turns. The bottom opens up with bermed sweepers, higher speeds, and good oportunities for jumpers to "go big" air out some "tailwhips. Most riders are saying, Malamondos may now be the best downhill/crosscountry trail in the SE. The only real complaint people have is that its over to fast. Use restraint your first time down, and watch out for riders coming up the trail against the grain. If you were wondering, "Malamondos" loosely translated means (When All Hell Breaks Loose). Enjoy your Flight!
