Visited last Sunday evening and was able to get in for free due to early in the season for parks to open. would recommend parking at the canal once summer opens and utilizing the back entrance or take the canal to the foot bridge and ride in. Many hikers and runner's to keep track of, so watch out. Trails in the V-section is becoming over grown and needs a good cleaning out to make them more accessible ride. For any one new to these trail's there is lots of downhills or hill climb's. Was not very muddy at that point in time, but I am sure that it is now that it is raining.

Used to ride this trail all the time when I went to school at Syracuse. It's a fairly large system, it's pretty to look at and it has a nice downhill section along some power lines. It's a good trail for running as well. I had a good time over there and you will too. There is a gravel parking lot before the actual entrance to the park. If you enter through the park you will be on the Green Lakes trail and that is usually flooded with people. Maybe go on a day that isn't as sunny and you'll have better luck.

have fun.

These are some of the best trails around the Syracuse area. They aren't that hard but are lots of fun and a little challenging.

Customer Service

The Downhill trails are the best. You should have a front suspension bike for these trails.

Ideal beginner to intermediate trails. Nice place to take a newbie, where you won't get bored yourself. A couple of tough climbs and a few downhills where you can get some speed, but can be crowded with hikers at times so BE CAREFUL. If you ride here, please be courteous - the trails here are being closed to bikes at an alarming rate, because of conflicts with hikers. Trail markings suck, so get a map.

Old Growth, Power Lines and Vista Trails are nice.
