Syracuse and Eastern Trolley Route - Trail, Fairport, York

Syracuse and Eastern Trolley Route - Trail, Fairport, York

DESCRIPTION

Easy Easy Easy trail for beginners and excersizers. There are only a few locations where actual mountain biking can be had, but if you keep your eyes open you can spur off and have some fun. Just west of Mason Road (where the self-storage units are) leave the trail and follow the power lines (you'll have to detour on a residential street axcross from Clawson's) you'll get a bouncy fun downhill that crosses the trail. Most of the trail is flat and basic.

okay here's the deal with this trail. is not much of a trail if you mainly stick on the trolly bed... its the place where you could bring a child and it would not be a problem what so ever. however there is a nice little section of off roading, not hard by anymeans, but a good introduction trail for maybe your girl friend or kid brother or something. if you ride along the trolly trail for a ways near the canal (opposite side of the canal where the tow path is) you'll come acrossed a old bridge foundation. if you poke around in that area you can find a foot path that has a switch back and leads down to the water of the canal. you can ride this trail for a ways along the canal, past linden bridge and all the way into pal-mac area. it has a mix of wide tracks down to narrow single tracks. its bascially flat but there is a section where you can get cookin and jump off of some dirt mounds (might be building bmx jumps back there soon). its a good introduction for someone that has never been on a mountain bike since it isn't hilly and does require some manuvering in tight trail conditions. anyone that has been riding for longer then a year don't bother though.

start at abandon bridge near the canal, ride past linden (either under bridge or go up to the road, through the parkinglot and back on the trail). you can go out into pal-mac area but its not much fun after awhile because nobody bikes there and its somewhat overgrown, and buggy in summer months

My name is R and I love dirt

I used to live in one of the subdivisions off the trolley bed so when I went back to see some friends they took me here to ride. This is a PATH for SUV driving Soccer moms on department store hybrids to ride. You can ride this trail on a low quality road bike. In fact I did, a lot off times, when I was in High School FHS Rules. The trails only use is hiding beer from you parents before parties and fooling around with your girlfriend. If you are into paths try the canal trail. At least you can get some good food when get into Pittsford.

Customer Service

Pick up the trolly bed anywhere its all the same.
