Rode this trail for the first time today.. I freakin love this trail. I did the whole enchilada... Saw a coyote running all out like coyotes do.

This trail has a little bit of something for all... heading out from the trail head... you may not realize it but you're gradually going up. There's some dirt, some rock, some gravel, some limestone... I had to dismount once towards the mountains it was a bit technical and I was a bit winded but other than that... all very doable for an intermediate to experienced rider.

When you hit the trail from the trail head... about a few hundred yards in there is a split. I recommend staying to the left. I went to the right, at first, and got off of the trail and had trouble finding it. Once I got back to the trail sign... and stayed left, it was all good. On the way back I guess I hit was they call little Moab... lots of red rock... you have to veer off to the right once you get close to returning to the trail head... if you have enough left... check it out. worth it.

This is one of my new faves. Great trail. I've ridden Slickrock multiple times, Amasa back, Tsali in North Caroline, Syllamo's revenge in Arkansas... Walker Ranch in CO, Horse thief bend in Fruita... Did Gilbert in El Paso yesterday... this trail ranks high up. Sad thing is, not sure I'll ever be able to come back.

We ride Cloudcroft in the summer where its cool and Dona Anna in the winter while its cold in Cloudcroft. Lots of trails all over the place. Hit it about a half dozen times and keep finding more trails. Good easy up hill that doesnt look like it's up hill but the down hill is a blast. Taken a header or two but cant blame the bike (Poor workman blames his tools) just wasnt using my head untill I landed on it. Rode trails in Vegas till I got orders here and it a little bit the same, lots of loose rocks. realy enjoy this area.

"A" mountain is OK but would rather ride Dona Anna. Summer time it has to be Cloudcroft.

This is a great trail system with something for all rider levels. Fast and flowy rollercoaster sections. Short sections of moderately-steep technical climbs followed up with nice descents.

The trail builders/maintainers have done a really nice job on this trail system.

Signage is adequate but best to bring a map with you, because there's no kiosk at the trailhead showing all the trails (and there's a lot once you start including doubletrack, gravel roads, etc.)

This is the best singletrack I've ridden in southern New Mexico (granted, this is based solely on my experiences with Cloudcroft area trails...which are nice because there in the forest, but none of those trails ride like they were built specifically for bikes.)

This trail system flows like it was built for bikes specifically, as opposed to just a trail where bikes are allowed.

Fun stuff. Thanks again to the trail gnomes!

I recently rode this trail while on vacation in NM and loved it. The technical difficulty is moderate but these trails have a very nice flow and are perfectly maintained. The trails are in the middle of the dessert so having enough water is important and you don’t want to ride at noon. Contrary to what was said below you don’t always see the parking lot and there aren’t many riders around during weekdays so be careful not to get lost. The area also has ATV trails that you want to avoid as they are mostly sand traps.

I found the directions posted below useful to get to the area but still couldn’t find the parking lot on my own. I was lucky to find a local rider who guided me to the parking. Even this guy was unable to give me directions to get to the parking lot alone so do yourself a favor and ask for directions. Ride on!

It's a blast!! You have a little of everything;rocks, sand, hills. It's a trail that a newbie can ride along with a pro. It was many options so make sure you talk to a local to get some directions b/c there are many trails to go on. Tuesday summer nights is the place to be.

excellent intermediate trial. i didn't have a map so am unsure of just how much trail there is but.......

this is excllent winding , twisting ST trail system that that covers the area. excellent signage keeps you on track. ST is bikes only. there are cycle and jeep trails criss crossing that you can ride. trial is packed sand and smooth gravel. very few rocks except in technical sections near hills.

generally you ride up a low slope winding ST to base of Donna Ana Hills and then cut across hills. there are a few tuff technical sections but any intermediate rider can handle them with ease.

this is a good one for beginners and intermediates. you can ride at any speed you can muster. carpark is always in sight so you can't get lost.

This trail is awesome!! The single track is great. An awesome combination of uphill and downhill stretches. Depending on the route you select, you can make it as easy or as technical as you want. A few sandy portions and some gravel filled arroyos make it a challenge, as well as a few pretty technical, rocky climbs. Overall a blast for anyone who does it for the workout and the fun. One particular section called "rollor coaster" has rolling hills that are fast and fun. Watch your speed though, there are some deceptive hazards there that can spell disaster. 6am is the best time to ride to beat the heat. Go Early, don't go alone, and go have fun!!

Customer Service

Take I-25 exit 9. make right. first left then first right again. follow this until it ends, make a left then next right. follow this past a cattle guard and on until you see a parking area on the left. Single track picks up from the northeast corner of the parking area. from there you will come to several jeep trails and fork in the single track. The route you take is up to you but it's best to go with someone whom knows the trail.

THis is a really cool trail, and offers a good view of the valley. This trail can be flat and long at times, but has alot of variety. The trail is really fun to come down, and quite a workout to ride up, especially if your riding all the way the base of the DA's. There are tons of trails out here so its impossible to review one. But the majority of them have really good climbs and descents and are a blast. Important to watch out for people shooting because theirs a few mohows that go out there and do that.

Customer Service

too complicated to explain all routes. Basically take I-25 and take the Dona Ana exit. Head left on the first dirt road you hit, stay left on it and follow it a ways until it leads to a parking area, you recognize it because it's surrounded by embankments. THe trail heads east, and is not singletrack at first but is recognizable.

This is the best trail in the Cruces area. I've had the benefit of having locals lead me on this trail fro two years running and it definately takes some effort to string the ride together because there are some pretty cool technical sections that could be missed. Some roads and two-track intersect the trails and you could get lost, but I did notice that this year they have placed several Carsonite signs. Word is that the "Flintstones" will be closed but some new areas will be added by the BMBA.

Route? I just follow the locals......sorry
