After reading about this trail, I thought I'd try it for XC skiing. It wasn't a good experience. This sand road was plowed, down to the stones. Must get a fair amount of vehicle traffic for it to get plowed. I was able to ski, moving around to avoid sandy spots, but I didn't see any side trails at all to jump off on. I don't know if they are overgrown since the first post here, or what. I hope to bike it in the spring. One good outcome is that I found a side route to connect to Braddock Mill Rd and Kettle Run Rd, which I had been wanting to find. It got very muddy at one point, FYI. Similar Products Used: None that I know of. Since moving to this area I've found no decent mountain biking opportunities. NJ sucks for this. Too much damn sand. |

I live in Kings Grant and these trails are great to have being that I can just hop on my bike and go. If you don't think these trails are good than you haven't found the right ones. Spend a day exploring and you'll be surprised. New stunts are being built every so often to keep it interesting. It's not Clayton or GCC but it fun especially since you live in the area. Customer Service just look left and right off of the main fire trail. |

For the uninitiated, there are two things you should know about findign this trail - 1) The bend in the road is actually closer to one mile in from Marlton Parkway. 2) There is a gate with a "No Tresspassing: No Dumping" sign on it. I think the gate & sign is to prohibit cars/trucks, not bikers and hikers.

Its really funny to see people writing about these trails. My father and brother cut these trails while we were growing up in Marlton. We cut 80-90% of the single track in this area (there are some firecuts that we already there). We cut them to ride dirt bikes in, but also did some Mountain biking in those trails. Anyway, we tried to make them technical b/c there are only moderate hills in the area. Its sandy in the summer, not great for mountain biking but if you want to give it try, have fun. There is a lot more than just 5-6 miles of trail, you just have to look around. Customer Service Just follow the trails from the right and left sides of the main dirt road. If you can pick them all up, there is a long loop. Similar Products Used: Camden County |

Cool, someone knows about these trails besides me! Actually these trails do get a fair amount of use, it's also common to see joggers and dirt/ATV's back here. I only live a couple blocks from the trailhead, it's nice to jump on your bike from home and be on the trial in less than 2 minutes. Many of these trails are too sandy, especially on the other side of Kettle Run Road. I've ridden a lot of them, but there are still a few I haven't explored. You can ride singletrack all the way to Cooper Road and fire roads to Route 73. The trail to Route 73 is my personal fave, it requires about 3/10 mile road riding but it's a good 1 hour workout. |

After seeing this post and living so close to it, I had to check it out. This truly is a goldmine! Just as the description says, the trailhead is just in from the entrance to Kings Grant. Park in the lot by the lake and then ride over to the trailhead (about 1/2 a mile). There is a driveway that leads into woods. There's a gate up but also a path around it. The initial trail (fire road) is sandy. The day I went it was went so you can imagine the workout I got. It is relatively flat in the inital section, so that's a plus. There are a couple of short loop single tracks right at the beginning. It doesn't look like they are used much though. Continuing on, you'll pass some more single track off the fire road. It looks like the resevoirs mentioned were pretty full and the land around them was swampy. After about 1 1/2 miles, the road split. I believe the right split goes to the airport. I took the left. This had a nice downhill incline (helpful in the sand) but it was very wet. There were some pretty cool singletracks off this road and I managed to get some good technical workout on them (lots of logs and dirt piles). I would watch out for this area on nice days though. There seems to be a paintball waring area along the way. eventually you will end up on the links golf course and ride out the golf cart trails to the main road. Customer Service Take the right fork if you want more single track and tech stuff. The left is good for a nice intermediate XC pacing. You'll get a good 4 - 5 miles (6 if you loop it).
