Nice little flat trail system, we got about 8 miles of riding in. It was raining and the sandy trail held up great. We went over what felt like 50 log overs.

I just got back from riding the trail my first time. I'm at the shore for the week and thought I'd give it a try. I was alone and didn't see any other bikers (or other people at all). The trail doesn't look to be heavily used.

The trail is the flattest trail I have ever ridden. There are a lot of quick turns to keep things interesting and a few small dips. I rode the loop twice and enjoyed myself. I saw 3 deer and a box turtle.

This is not a destination ride as others have said but is a fun ride. The warninfs about the tight squeezes between trees had me concerned since I'm riding a 29er with fairly wide handlebars. I found the trail to be plenty wide.

The trail is basically beginner singletrack with a few obstacles for more advanced riders. An advanced rider could push their speed to make things more exciting. The trail builders did a nice job. The topography limits opportunities for big climbs and drops but the builders used a lot of turns to prevent monotony.

With the use and popularity of the MTB trail at Estell Manor Park we've decided to try to build another trail locally. We are working on approvals for a new Single Track in Egg Harbor Township, NJ. Hoping and Praying that this trail will be just as twisty, tight and enjoyable as Estell. Be fore warned..cut those handle bars down to get throught the tight and skinny:) Looking to build 6 to 10 miles of new trail between Ocean Heights Rd and Hidden Creek Golf Course. If you want to get involved..feel free to contact me.

Customer Service

Will be a loop format..hopfully with a inner loop and a much longer outer loop.

Some damage has been done to the trail. ATV's rode through tight section of trail leaving damage to some sections leaving trees knocked over. Hopefully, park rangers will keep a close eye out for the offenders keeping them off the trail in the future. Other than that the trail is in great condition.Best single track ride in south jersey

Customer Service

Take the middle trail making an outside loop of about 6 miles.

Took your advice and rode the trail while on vacation. We ended up spending 3 hours on the trails. No hills but loads of fun - great fitness trail. There is a bunch of TIGHT singletrack off the main loop. Just keep riding around the main trail and fire road and look for openings. the trails are some of the best maintained in NJ - no need to dismount to get around hazards. One suggestion - put on a skinny pair of handlebars - we had plenty of laughs and would literally scream as we passed through between small trees not knowing whether the bars would fit. We found one TIGHT singletrack near Route 50 on the north end of the park that seemed to twist and turn along its own lines forever. If you recorded it on a GPS it would just look like a blob on your screen - it was that tight. Told the wife we were almost done then spent another 30 minutes looking for the main trail. Technical only in that it has very tight turns. Main loop is good for speed. YOU MUST TRY IT OUT...

Good place to try with a young rider as there are no uphill climbs and the trails are in mint riding condition. Also, their bars may fit better!!! There is one nice tabletop ridge on one of the main trails near the inner parking lot.

Customer Service

Park just off of Route 50 about a mile below the north end of the park (this is the entrance to the jet-ski ramp and natural spring). Be careful not to stick your head under the spring water on a hot day - it is brutally cold...

I live locally with respect to this trails location so you could say I have an intimate knowledge of the system. It IS five miles long, at the trailhead just look at the map-it's really just a simple loop. Trail is flat, fast (if you can handle speed with half an inch of handlebar clearance on each side) and technical in terms of applicable bike handling skills. If you are trying to relive your BMX youth and bring a six inch travel bike to the trail you're not going to have fun. Trail would best be described as a race course, nothing too impossible-focuses more on fitness. And for the few of you who said you didn't even break a sweat, I hope that you mean metaphorically because the trail you're riding has nothing to do with how hard of a workout you get. If you want a challenge, email me at C4Byke@hotmail.com , we'll meet up and you can try to hang with me without breaking a sweat!

Oh yea, really the only people who utilize this trail are MTBers so the trail is and will hopefully continue to be in excellent condition - No Skidding!

Customer Service

Clockwise and counterclockwise are equally as fun and flow both ways nicely.

The trail was non technical and flat. However it was a sweet trail. Twisty and smooth. Best trail in south jersey. Also, a very nice park! The park is called Atlantic county Park at Estell Manor. It is a good spot for canoeing and jet skiing.

Customer Service

Go one mile north of main entrance on rt 50 turn right on to a park road, make left onto the Northern Loop and park in disignated area.

Nice, tight, twisty single track. The 5 mile loop is great for Atlantic County, being that it's one of the only places to ride in the southern tip of the state. Trails are maintained by the park and also the ACTV, and they do a great job. No real hills, but several small dips and logs. If your vacationing at one of the several beach towns bring your bike and take a lap on the loop. It's more interesting than riding on the boardwalk.

Customer Service

Park in the main lot off of RT. 50 and take the paved road following the one way direction to the soccer field. Pick up cribbers road (fire road behind soccer filed near river) and ride it keeping right to the swamp trail boardwalk. The boardwalk has a no bike sign, but bikes are permitted at their own risk, just yield to walkers and runners. Follow boardwalk to the end and make a left on dirt road. Follow almost to end, less than a half mile and trail heads will be on your right. Jump on there and ride the loop. After completing loop take the north end road back to main lot. It's a nice 11 mile ride all together.

I just so happened to be in Mays Landing this weekend and a family friend knew of the trail so we took a run down to check it out. Coming from NY this trail was super easy to ride and as said before I barely broke a sweat. However it was fun and the fact that I could run over and do a quick loop was a great treat. The sandy soil made it super slick in the turn so while it was flat you always had to watch your speed. If you're in the area it's a fun trail to hit up as you twist your way thru the scrub pine trees.

Customer Service

There is only one route.. just take the loop.
