Camp Swampy - Trail, Neosho, Missouri

Lots of hills, but small. Both double and single track. Trail winds through woods, with a few praires.

I believe this trail is really Bicentennial Park trail, which is also posted on this trail list; I have never heard of anything called Camp Swampy in this area.

Customer Service

see Bicentennial Park reviews; fireroads and some of the singletrack is fine for beginners; the sections with rocky hillsides and tree roots are for stronger beginners and intermediate riders, but all this trail is tame compared to many better MTB trails

I believe this is actually the Crowder Conservation area. There are 3 actual trailheads. As of summer '04, two of the three had maintained trails. Meadows and paths leading to them are brush hogged and in excellent shape. If using access on Owl Road, DO NOT try to access via the first (northernmost) Conservation Dept parking area. Use either the 2nd or the parking area on HH, just east of Owl Road. I have only covered about half of the main paths, but they are excellent. I will update later on the balance, as well as some singe tracks at this location.
