The trails are being destroyed by clear cutting. Ridgeland trails are now open and being developed. Recommend checking out Lake Lurleen trails in Tuscaloosa Alabama. Newly created trails that are alot of fun.

This trail is officially closed. Although the loggers have not moved in yet, the local club, TCMBA has been informed that the trails are closed for logging. Its a sad day. We do have other trails in the area, so come ride.

Gone -- Finito -- Kaput

We got the word this week from the school board that development would begin Oct. 26, 2006. A moment of silence please; sorry you missed this great trail network, but check out the Ridgeland Trails and Butts Park.

Alot of trail has been cleared since Katrina leaving a loop open. The trail is slated for development since it is on section 16 land. Come out and ride. Feel free to chain yourself to a tree in protest. It is the best trail system that we have in Jackson with over 250 acres.

Customer Service

Entrance trail then left. Follow accross jeep trail to anaconda up to bluff. Down jeep trail, take orange to right back to entrance trail. Feel free to rake debris.

Great trails. I love'em! I got my first Mtn Bike late last year and started out on these trails (with the help of a very experienced, very motivating rider, my brother). I can't say enough good about them. There are some spots with some sand and roots and REALLY big and hard to climb hills but the woods are very nice and very convenient. Some of the trails really remind me of being in the mountains! Since I'm new I'm rating it a 5. I think Little Colorado is EXCELLENT!

Customer Service

As a beginner I like the white trail and anaconda. On days my brother wants to pay me back for something that happened 20 years ago we take the Orange trail! Take a left of the entrance trail for a nice ride, pretty good workout; take a right off the entrance trail for a wild ride and a great workout.

Just started riding last month and started on these trails. I like them a lot, I've been able to start on some VERY beginner trails and worked up to some pretty technical, hard riding. I don't know any different but I like 'em a lot so it gets a 5!

This is a great trail system. There are no other trails in the Jackson area that come close to comparing. Some tight, technical, fast, flat, hilly, sandy, rough, etc. TCMBA does a great job in maintaing these trails. I recommend these to anyone that's looking for life beyond Forest Hill. Alot of fun.

Great trails, with plenty of distace, one easy downhill, good XC, couple of hills, but for Mississippi the most mountains you'll ever see

Customer Service

go in two breaks in the median after the light at northwest ranking. Go to the right and you will see the entrance to the trail from there your on your own however there are many trails you can take that are set that are great.

This unusual riding area is slowly being developed so we don't know how much more riding there will be. There is one wide trail circling the entire area for a 3 mile run, open and fast. There are many singletrack loops crisscrossing the main loop. About a mile in on the main loop there is a scinic overlook cliff that looks out into a large sand dune area. The singletrack is winding and hilly. There is a big revine crossing called Devil's gorge and there are a series of runoffs where the trail keeps crossing known as the MOTHERS. Because they are a mother to climb, But lots of fun to descend the downfaces.Great looking forests with mixed hardwoods and big oaks.Try this area and you will not be disappointed. Beginners beware. Intermediates are challenged, and Experts race. The Bike Rack is on lakeland dr. just about 6 miles into flowood by the Ice park, for other information. Happy Trails

Customer Service

Go to Northwest High school on Hwy.25 N.(lakeland drive) out of Jackson. Park at the school, unload and turn right on 25 for about a quarter mile. be carefull crossing the four lane and hit the red sandy logging road going uphill to the right. As soon as the hill crests at in the cutover you'll see the trail head.try to remember the way you go or you'll ride around for a couple of miles trying to find your way.

Miles and miles of good, technical singletrack. Hillier than you would expect from Mississippi. So some of the trails are rough, but not too bad. You can have several hours of hard, fun riding without having to double back much. It's just a big web of singletrack and jeep trails. It's easy to get lost, so check with the Bike Rack on Lakeland Dr. about a group ride or some directions.

To reiterate a previous post, beginners should try Forest Hill or Pearl River for a more enjoyable experience. Brave beginners and intermediates should find these trails challenging. Experts will love it. These trails also dry quickly--rain in the morning, ride in the afternoon.

Overall, this is the best riding I think you'll find in central MS.

Customer Service

Take the new dirt road (probably won't be dirt for long) until you see a trail to the left. Take the first singletrack on the left once you get to the woods. Wednesdays at ~4:30 or so, group ride meets at the church about a mile past the school.
