Short steep slippery pine straw climbs or dirt/sandy climbs......and some tight singletrack with some hard turns.....and of course various off camber roots and downed trees to hop.....it really is a decent trail to develop some technical skills

Customer Service

Time for an update....when you park at the power station off of richburg road...you can choose to ride the singletrack behind the power station which goes all the way to the south hattiesburg exit if ya know where your going.....if not you ride across richburg and hop over to the power lines where you can ride the tight single track that runs in the tree line between the powerline area and the "dirt road" that runs along the interstate......once youve completed that you should come out and cross under the interstate thru a concrete ditch come out on the other side of the interstate and ride the trails behind the homes back up 40th toward richburg road......then come out near the fireplug across from the small apartments on 40th and ride the classic stuff that is soon to be gone it appears

Pretty tough but fun. Bring lots of H20 and get ready to bust in all that sand.

Similar Products Used: When going south on 40th stop right before the road takes a sharp right before coming to Richburg. There are some trails to the left, just before the small cinder block apartments. Narrow single track pretty challenging and lots of fun.

The trails are fun, not really any steep climbs but some short climbs. The trails can get pretty ugly when it rains. Other than that the Power line trails can be a blast to ride if you know which way to go.

Customer Service

The best route is to hopefully ride with someone who knows the trails. There are no marked trails, and no main loop. All of the trails lead off of each one.

The trail system can be very fun and a great workout. The trails are mostly singletrack mixed in with ATV trails. There are plenty of small climbs as well as some fast but short downhills.1

Customer Service

There is not really a recommended route because the trails are not marked. The best thing is to do is to ride with someone who Knows the trails, or you can go by Hattiesurg Bicycles and ask for directions.

This is a fun ride. not very tech. but has some fast single track and watch out for the sand at the bottom of the first drop-in. There are a few jumps and climbs but nothing to scarry. These are great trails for beginers.

Customer Service

Get directions from someone at Hattiesburg Cycles on Hardy St. No loop so have someone with you that knows the trails.

For my last two years at school, this trail was my bread and butter. When combined with the trail on the other side of 59, it gave the best training rides ever. If you've never ridden it before, you do need to ride with someone who knows the trails. Between erosion and construction, the trails changed all the time, so it was easy to get lost if you didn't know where you were. As for the trail difficulty, I have yet to ride anything as consistently challenging as the trails in the wooded area off to the left of the powerlines. All the trails I have ridden have gotten compared to this one, and none have provided as much fun as this one.

Customer Service

From the powerlines, go back across the bridge to south 40th, take a left and another trailhead is on the right, next to some little apartments. Ride down this section, back up again, THEN ride the powerlines.

this is a good trail with some good climbs and steep hills. it unfortunately provides alot of sand bars. There are a couple of spots where it is almost too difficult. the trails provide good variation often not so often found in more mountianous terrain where there are longer climbes and descents. There was recently a road built that blocks off much of the passage around the trail though it is still fun to hit though now a bit shorter. The beginner to the advanced can enjoy this trail. bring H20!

this is a great trail from the beginner to the advanced. It's greatest asset is it's variation of terrain. There is too much sand, but with all that in mind it is still one of my favorite trails.

The trail is great, there are several good loops, but that last downhill is a real doozy! By the way if you are in the Hattiesburg area, don't ask for Drew....He's a real idiot!

Customer Service

Any route is great, but I prefer clockwise. I gives me more time to get gnarly on the downhills...yeah!!!
