GPS coordinates given are WRONG. I took a picture from within the park that recorded the location at Lat 44.33.47, Long 92.31.27 Alt 327.

Once I got there, the riding was great. There were some real lung busting climbs that paid dividends on some very fun downhill. Enjoyably technical track. There are many small jump features, numerous skinnies, fun berms, a nice pair of teeters (as noted, one having a step-up/down), and a rocky climb that pushes back HARD. I had a lot of fun and will be back again very soon.

Bonus points to Red Wing as I met several other fun riders and enjoying riding with them.

Customer Service

I recommend parking about halfway down the drive as it descends past the disc golf course. I parked at the bottom at the turnaround, and this was an awkward place to jump into things.

Overall, the DH/FR blue trails are sick. One rough climb to the top but your decent down is awesome. Not too steep down, lots of jumps, good drop-offs, burms everything you can think of including some ladders and a big wooden step-up to step down feature.

There is now 6.5 miles of 'Red' trail, more if you're interested in combining some 'blue' as well.
The local club has done an awesome job of punching in new trail and although this is a long drive from the twin cities, it is worth it.

The DH route is crazy and looks fun.

The 4 aerobic rating is relative to the other flat trails in the twin cities.

Customer Service

I park in the golf course parking lot and ride up the golf cart trail until it reaches a dirt double track on the right. Take that double track and head up. At the intersection I just picked up the main 'red' flags and followed it around.

Red Wing I salute you. I came for the rock climbing across the street, but am now hooked on the mtbring. Red Wing is now the place to go to "Shred the Nar."That is one fantastic trail ya got there. The way it flows around the bluff is just wonderful. A real downhill run will test the DHers. Best thing about the place is that you can ride it both ways. Great Cross Country ride with nice hills, good scenary and technical trails. Not the hammer down big ring run like Leban-yon Hills and not the true sustained climb, downhill, climb, etc. found Afton. Every xc rider in the area needs to ride this place.

Customer Service

Flows best clockwise around the bluff, but don't miss the chance to ride it the other way. About 1 1/2 hours total. Start with the centerfold section and let it ride. Remember...singletrack always trumps double track. First timers be ready to explore a bit.

This trail is great. They have recently cut a bunch of new technical trails. You can pretty much ride a complete loop of single track, but don't pass up the fast double track because it adds a few more miles on to your ride. The quarry and the jungle are the sections that are a MUST to ride and the 'Stairway to Heaven' climb is a real test. I feel lucky to have such a great trail system in my backyard. Look for more new single track to come in the year ahead.

Customer Service

Drive to the top of Memorial Park just off of 7th st. in Red Wing. Pass the scenic overlook and park at the second pull off on the right. (You should see a intersection just down the road) Bike down the road and stay right. Go slow because there is a trail opening to the right (hidden). This brings you to a grassy open area. Just where it opens up more there is a trail that ducks into the woods to the left. If you take this it will run you in a clockwise direction around the bluff so you can hit all the trails. Enjoy!

It does have something for everyone. It's very fun with easy fire road and lots of technical single track. It has some great views, it is not to crowded (at least not when I was there). If I lived in the area this would be my favorite trail. I liked it much better than Holzinger in Winona (I didn't ride all of the trails but what I did was boring). One more note, alot of the single track that comes off of the fire roads is easy to miss since you will be going at a very high speed(it just seemed to work that way).

These are fun trails. The words that fits best is FAST. There are some seriously fun and wicked fast sections. There's some twisty single track. There's some off camber, hilly twisty up and down roller coaster single track (well that section isn't that long. 1/2 mile? somewhere in there.) There's probably the best downhill in minnesota, the best I've been on anyway. I wouldn't say it's very technical in nature, though there is one really rocky, fairly hard climb and the aforementioned roller coaster section I guess is pretty technical, but it's still FAST! Mostly it's some really buffed in fast single track that's loads of fun all around. I like it.
In re-reading my review, I'd have to agree with the other fellows and say these trails have it all. There's bound to be something you'll enjoy about them.

VERY FUN! WORTH THE DRIVE FROM THE TWIN CITIES. GOOD SINGLE TRACK, CHALLENGING CLIMBS, WONDERFULL VISTAS. THE ONLY THING THAT COULD BE BETTER IS IF THERE WAS TWENTY MORE MILES OF TRAILS.

Trail offers a wide variety. Rolly hills, narrow, widing sections through the woods, short steep climps, one long steep climb. The first time I made the trip from the Twin Cities I got there and the park was packed with cars and MTB racers (I am not). Went about a week later and was worth the trip. I can see why they race here.
