Yeah, I know. It's a cruddy little ski hill. But you know what, it's close to town, fairly fun, reasonably well kept and impossible to get lost. Do three loops in a little over an hour. Still think it's too easy?

It won't blow you away, but if you live close it's a great training ride. (buy a season pass).

Customer Service

Two years ago, rode this every other day for training. There's really only one main route (to the South and then up).

Good course- nice and close for training/racing. I am from Eden Prairie, so it's a good full day ride to ride out from my house, a few loops then back. Too bad it's illegal except for race days- Thursdays from Mid-May until Mid-August, I think. Run By Penn Cycle, plus a few other big races (Spring Cup, Tour de Bump). Very tight singletrack on the north side so tough passing during races. Definitely favors the climbers. Attack on the access road and maintain a moderately fast pace in the narrow stuff and you should do well. Nice spot for air at the bottom of Don's descent to the finish line, but it takes more effort than it used to b/c of re-grading for safety. (Morons who don't know how to handle big air used to come close to killing themselves on it) Try riding Don's Descent backwards for a real anaerobic knee masher.

This trail is one of the best loops in the Twin Cities. There are super-tight switchbacks and plenty of ups and downs. In a flat area like this, this is one of the best interval training places. Lots and lots of roots and tight stuff.

Customer Service

Take Hwy 35W south to Co. Rd. 42. Take Buck Hill Road to the Buck Hill parking lot.

Well, if you are one to get all gussied up in your tight little suites, this place is great for you. Strap in your shiny red shoes and have a blast. I know you are all to scared to cross the river, but that means less pansies on my trails!!!!!!

This trail is located at the little Buck Hill ski area. impossible to get lost on these loops. some swithbacks and really short downhills. Not really worth the drive from the cities. ok good for beginners to intermediate riders.

Customer Service

Only a few trails to do but only fun at night.

I myself ride Buck Hill everyday, and im not exagerating. I live less than a mile away from it. I know Buck is small and if you go alone it become boring and tiresome. It would be a good idea to go with a friend. Even as it is so small, there is alwayz something you can do. I am a boarder so i usually hang around the park and pipe. Often they both suck ass, so i resort to back country. If you are willing to bend the rules a smiggin and not be a pussy that can be fun option. Ski Bull Hill. Brennan can kick anyones ass.
