I've only ridden this trail once which was two laps during a race. The first lap sucked, the second was much more fun. The trail starts with a double track section which quickly turns into a super technical uphill switchback section. There is a ton of climbing on this trail. A couple of the climbs were much longer and steeper than I am used to in Michigan. Between the brutal climbs and the dificult single track sections, this is a daunting trail. Much of the single track is damp and covered with exposed roots, which makes the roots somewhat difficult to ride. There are a couple of brige crossings over small streams, which are also difficult to navigate since the bridges are wet and narrow. You could go swimming. There is also a river crossing which is always fun. The second half of the trail seems to be a little more wide open, taking you through the golf course area on jeep roads. There are still a few more tight single track sections, mostly descending, with off-camber turns and lots of difficult terrain to keep you on your toes.

This trail is best suited to intermediate to advanced level riders. I wouldn't break a newbie in at a trail like this. They may not bike again.

If you are an all around good rider this is your course, it has a bit of everything in it. THere's cool singletrack and good sized climbs. One loop has 900 ft. of climbing in it so your legs will be burning a bit. As far as i know they only open this course up once a year for the glacier gorge xc race shich in 2002 will be held on saturday september 28

I rode this trail at the race in the fall of last year, you know the one where it was 34 degrees, had rained a day or so before, and got up to 65 in the afternoon? Well anyway, there are some WICKED climbs. There are also some boards where it is to wet to ride and if it just rained you come around a corner aaaannnddd... Zzzziiippp! Of you go into the wild blue yonder,so ride carefully. There are 3 stream crossings not counting the little flood thingees running down a hill. Not extra difficult but not plain difficult either.
