Milford Trail - Trail, Milford, Michigan

DESCRIPTION

Milford Trail just opened May 30th. They promote the paved portion, but not much has been said of the MTB protion. The trail has switchbacks, nice clims and a couple quick decends. The trail is well built and fun. I believe the trail is around 5 miles. There is not any information yet on the www.milfortrail.com website. The trail has a couple areas to access it. One is the YMCA on Commerce rd. The other is off General Motors rd. Picinic areas, kayak access, canoes, walking trail and a great downtown for food. Perfect place to ride and eat.

It isn't the longest trail, I've heard it's no more than 5 miles long. I have ridden it a couple times but I do not have a bike computer so not sure the exact distance. I really like this trail, the whole trail is pretty fun and doesn't get to repetitive like some trails out there, lots of short up hills and down hills with a good mix of tight u turns, and couple good sections after a down hill to get some good speed going. Even though I really like this I really wouldn't recommend taking a 30 min drive out to ride it as it is a shorter trail unless you already did the highland rec trail and still want to ride a little more this one is only a couple miles away (and have heard many people call the Milford trail the highland rec E loop). I like the trail mostly because it is only a couple miles down the road from my house and is pretty fun to ride. If you live close I would definitely recommend riding it.

4 miles long. This trail has a lot of switchbacks and some good little downhills. Small climbs with tight turns at the end. I really enjoy this trail for honning my skills. There is a paved trail that runs alongside the mtb trail. It is a great place to take the family... Really enjoy this trail.
