Still flat, still tight, trail has been lengthened since last review, about 4 1/2 miles total now. Rain doesn`t hurt this trail at all, actually helps traction a couple days after a pour. Popular for the 6/12 hr. races.

This is flat, wooded singletrack with some wooden bridges. There's nothing very difficult here, but it's decent riding for those of us in mid-Michigan when the weather is dry. If it's been raining, watch out! It can get incredibly muddy, and the wooden bridges on the trail can get very slick. I wish this trail were longer than just 3.5 miles.

This trail offers tight turns, a couple small jumps and a few uphills that might make you shift once or twice. Nothing spectacular. I have come to the conclusion that I'm cursed by this trail. My first attempt at riding this trail was lost when I discovered a Mountain Biking race was taking place. The next attempt was stopped short as I got a flat off a jump over a small creek. The third time I made the course without any problems but I left all my MTB equipment next to my car and took off after loading my bike. Ouch! Over $500.00 of gear lost! I felt the biggest drawback was very few places you could really open up and accelerate. It seemed to have way to many turns to get any real speed. The few jumps were fun but nothing to write home about. I would say the biggest technical challenge is making it over a fallen tree in the middle of the trail. That is not saying much. For the mid Michigan rider I would say that it at least gives you something to do. However I would make the extra effort and head to Burchfield Park in Holt if you want a good place to ride.

The trail is longer now. New stuff has been added by the local trail crew. It is about 5.5 miles and as far as getting "real speed" at this trail -- Just pedal faster and turn faster. You can break 20 mph here if you roll the turns and don't brake through the corners. Think light thoughts and hammer. Perfect trail for a single speed with no suspension.
