Rocky Woods - TRAIL

Rocky Woods - Trail, Westwood, Massachusetts

Decent mix of Fireroads and single track. The left side of the forest is easier to do (when facing north), while the right side is more technical single track, and more fun.

This area is ok for beginner to intermediate. Is is usually crowded with families and animals all over the trails. You also need to pay an entrance fee.

Customer Service

When you hit the main trailhead stay up to the right, there is a good technical downhill over there off the top of the trail.

This isn't nearly as hard or as big as places like Lynn woods or Wrentham or Otis, but it'll provide a decent workout before or after work. It's not a place you could spend the whole day, but it is enjoyable.

Customer Service

Explore the whole place- it's a good mix of different trails.

This place is very good for people just starting out. Although It does has some really sweet downhills where you can reach about 40 just watch out for those people around the corner, there dog is taking a leak. If you go here and you know you're way around you can go to other places very near bye like Noanet, Rocky narrows etc. There is an entrence fee if you drive in, but we are bikers, so go park at shaws and ride down. The shop in the center of town rules TOWN&Country bicycles. The people are very nice there and will hook you up with whatever you need.

Kinda easy, but some good down hills. One bad part is its sooo crowded any day of the week at any time. Also hikers always seem annoyed to see people on bikes, and people with dogs make you stopso you dont scare the dogs.

Customer Service

Its all ok

This place was totally BORING!!! Unless you are a pure beginner in good cardio shape, you will fall asleep at this place!

After you pay the 2.50 per person (!!!) to enter the park, they charge you an ADDITIONAL 2.00 for a trail map!!!

The only thing you may want to come here for is the downhills. That's all. Snoozeville!

Customer Service

None of them!!!

This is Hale Reservation, according to the directions. You aren't charged to get in and they don't charge you for a map. It's an easy ride but nobody here said it was tough.

My earlier review of this place got wiped out, so I'm posting again. I've been riding here at least once a week (usually two or three times) after work because it's real close to it. Overall, this place isn't that bad. They've closed off a couple of the main trails due to erosion, but there's still plenty of riding to be found. If you look hard enough, you can find trails that lead to another park type of area, and there's also plenty of ridable trails over by the camp site area. It's not a great technical type of ride, but it's good for building stamina. Plenty of small hills to climb, and short desents on the other side of those climbs. You can easily ride for 2 hours here w/out crossing the same path twice, if you know it well enough. Again, I've been going here at least once a week for the last 4 years- if it wasn't fun for me, I wouldn't do it.

From 128, take Rt. 109 W, bear right before the Mobil, take your first right, @ the end of the road (maybe 3/4 mi), turn left. Drive 1.5 miles, then park at one of the area's on your right.

Similar Products Used: Nothing REALLY close, but Gilbert and Wrentham.
