I don't know about the XC riding here, but near the cliff where all the rock climbers hang out, there is great stuff for trials. Just stay away from the climber's ropes and the edge of the cliff.

Customer Service

From the lot, you ride about 100 yards until you see a cliff. There is good stuff all around.

There are a ton of trails listed in here, but most of them are useless because there are no directions on how to get there. If you don't have all the info available to share with everyone, you're not doing anyone any good by saying this place exists, but I don't know where it is and I can't tell you how to get there. STOP WASTING EVERYONE'S TIME!!

This place is great! Tod from Faranklin is OBVIOUSLY a speed wus and probably rides a Huffy!! Yes it is not technical like Vietnam, but it is fast and tight. AND the best part is that you can tie a loop into Vietnam and get in a GREAT ride.

Since directions ar lacking in the original trail post, I'll add some.

Take route 85 North from I 495 (two exits south of Mass Pike). Vietnam parking is on your right just after you get off I495. Resist the temptation and keep following 85 North about 5 miles. The first Right is College Street - it's after you get into Hopkinton. Turn right. College street is narrow and twisty. You'll find the parking area about 1/2 - 1 mile from 85 on your right.
Ride the center trail. Once you cross the first creek, take the right fork and tehn follow the orange markers (you've probably seen similar ones if you've ridden in Vietnam lately).

Give it a try. Once again, Todd from Franklin must be a Huffy riding speed wus. He obviously needs the hills in Vietnam to get him moving, and teh technical stuff to provide an excuse for getting off his bike so much. See you tomorrow Todd.

Customer Service

Just ride South and you'll hit Vietnam eventually.

College Rock is a mecca for local climbers and can be found about 50 yards off of College Street. There is one main trail leading from College Rock to numerous other trails - both Single and Doubletrack. All of these trails will eventually lead into the Vietnam area, so I guess that they could actually be considered part of Vietnam. HOWEVER, 'Nam is significantly more technical than the College Rock Area and as a result is more of a blast to ride and to test your skills. If you want to avoid technical stuff and you don't want to test your skills (LIKE BOB and KEN), College Rock is the place for you.

Vietnam gets 5 Treads, College Rock gets 3!!!

Customer Service

Enter VIA Vietnam, off College Street, or off any of the numerous entries off Rt. 85. Look out for a little Canadian guy with his skirt stuck in his chain - this is Bob, he usually prefers really flat, easy terrain, that won't get his bike too dirty, so it is surprising to see him here. Actually, I think this infamous pair spelled a name wrong - isn't is BARBIE and KEN?

If you go in off rt 85 in hopkington park next to the big rocks below the tower and get ready to suck wind. go past tower (right of) and up and up and up! my buddie crow can almost make it to the top without touching, but he also removed that bar from the handlebars to his seat so I don't know what to tell ya about that? it's a pretty fun ride bring some tubes and some water!

Customer Service

go in at college rock and crank! there are some pretty fun hits on the way in, what blows is you get haulin' then hit this friggin area that is pretty much going to ruin your boys if you don't whatch it because there is soooo many rocks. You crank around alot of liittle trails but for the most part you stay you stay on the main trail heading for veitnam. This is where it gets good, if you see any one on a k-mart special bike send them home, they will not only kill it but get stranded out there like the blair-witch thing.

This place is a good warm-up for Nam! Don't listen to Tbone, he doesn't want to get smoked by anyone riding a bike better than his toys-r-us special with no seat just a seat post!

while your in there, if you hear whimpering that would probably be crow, ya see he can't seem to get the right kind of seat, he's tried bananna seats, big ass seats, even those boy freindly seats but the slit in the seat was to "roomy" if you ride down the main powerlines get ready to eat some rocks, those things toss you around like a sneaker in the dryer! stay in the woods for the most fun. watch out for crow he walks his bike in the middle of the trail and doesn't move like he use to. sometimes you can find him resting over looking 495 he's the guy with the a kidde seat on his mtn. bike with a teddy bear strapped in it.

Customer Service

go in off rt 85 where it intersects with 495. follow up past the tower at fork stay left, follow up and hual arse! take a right and just have fun finding trails, it's pretty tough to get lost

this trail sucks. the trail is wide, worn down, and extremely lame. If you are into rock climbing, college rock itself is cool, but the surrounding trails are not even worth riding. The only time I would reccomend this trail is to softies who dont like any sort of challenge, or to people who have never ridden a bike. If you go a couple miles down rt.85 towards milford, you will come to Vietnam, which is one of the best riding areas in New England. Mile after mile of technical singletrack with high speed descents, lung-searing climbs, sick drop offs(3-9"), and more hans-rey quality rock gardens than you can shake a mimi pump at. I have been riding this trail about 3-4 times weekly for three years and it still kicks ass.
