This is a good place to ride. the best trails are on the right side of the main road. i started there with a fully rigid POS and it was suitable for that. I now have a santa cruz Super 8 and it is suitable for that too, so this tells you how versatile the trails are there. there is mostly singletrack stuff not too exciting. the trails are really easy for beginners too i have only found one spot in there with technical riding but then again, the park is HUGE so there may be stuff that i havent discovered yet.

Wampatuck is sweet. Even though me and my buddies ended up in some air force base we had some fun finding our way back. Lots of rocks and roots(make for a exciting ride)That technical fun area is pretty cool. Make sure you explore, there are alot of awesome runs you can easily miss.

Customer Service

Entered right off of the parking lot.

At all costs, avoid the camping area. This is a maze of paved roads with camping site all along them. It is very easy to get lost in this section, so if you come out of a trail onto one of these, it's best to turn around and go back.
Otherwise, this place isn't bad. It can be very muddy, especially in the spring. The farther back you get in the forest is the better riding. Lots of good single track and hilly climbs/decents. Also, in the spring, it's VERY buggy, so bring the insect repellant!

Customer Service

First of all, the directions are all wrong. This is how to get there: To get there, leave route 3 at exit 14 in Norwell and head north towards Hingham. Go for about 3 miles and turn right on
Free Street. Follow Free Street to Union Street at the Forest's enterance.
I would also recommend that you stay to the right and head as deep into the forest as you can go.

This is my home trail. I disagree. The right side of the park is great but the left side has some great stuff. Follow the MB markers whenever you come out on the road. There is a 13 mile circuit that starts in the left parking lot across the street from the visitor center. The last few miles are brutal. Lots of rock gardens and tight single track.

This park is great. Lots of singletrack. Gentle hills. A variety of conditions from soft dirt to rock gardens. Some technical sections, some very fast. You rarely see anyone else. There are some muddy spots. NEMBA has built bridges over some of the wetter areas.

Customer Service

On Union St there are orange MB markers painted on the road that point to the race course. When in the woods, look for the orange ribbons on the trees. This course has great some tight singletrack, some wider singletrack, and a little bit of fire road. It's a nice way to learn your way around the park.

Excellent singletrack that can take youf miles away from your car. Moderate difficulty level. Many interconnecting trails so there is alot of variety.

Customer Service

Go to the left from the main parking lot. Follow MB signs spray painted on old roads you cross. Recently cut new singletrack.

This is my fun ride every week. If you are an intermediate rider and just like to have fun this is your place. You can learn how to ride technical here, everything is very do-able, just try it a few times. There is nothing in here that is going to beat you down, it is just fun. If you are looking for a challenging ride go somewhere else, this place is just for fun! The rating I am giving this is a reveiw of how well the trail is maintained and marked and for it's fun not for it's technicality. For technical on a 1-5 I would give it a 3 at most, but a 5 for fun.

Customer Service

Follow the loop in either direction. For the most part it is very well marked. When you come out onto a road just follow the "MB" arrows painted on the pavement.

I ride this park at least once a week and have a great time, everytime. The technical parts are few and far between but there are cool rock grardens to test your skill occasionaly. There is one rock garden on the 13 mile loop that is killer, if you have found it you know what I mean. I have riden here for a year and a half and I keep finding new trails. NEMBA keeps the park in good shape for M-bikers. If you get tired of the trails there is lots of pavement and water.
Have Fun!!!

Customer Service

Following this route has something for all levels (well, maybe not absolute beginners) but I did learn here! There's plenty of rocks and roots (or "pythons" as my husband calls them) and fun singletrack. It's a good workout. It can get busy in the early hours so if you don't like crowds you may want to show up in the early afternoon when most folks are finishing up.

Customer Service

If you ride the "left" side of the park, follow the very well marked orange spray paint and white triangles with green bikes on them. This will bring you on about a 10 mile ride with varying terrain.
