Pocomoke City YMCA - TRAIL

Pocomoke City YMCA - Trail, Pocomoke City, Maryland

Located on the northbound side of Route 113 in south Worcester County. Just north of Pocomoke City. About 45 minutes south-west of Ocean City about 45 minutes south of Salisbury. You can't miss the big YMCA sign on Route 113.

About 4 miles and growing of local built flat wooded singletrack. Includes some easy wood bridges and features. Terrain varies from smooth and fast to rooty and technical. Start at the marker on the map, follow the sign to Dash Z for an easy warm up. Follow the paved trail around to the Whispering Pines trailhead sign. Whispering Pines will eventually feed you into the Ripper which then leads via the dirt double track around the lake to Will's Woods, then the Turtle Pond and Bush Hog sections.

Turn around and try it in the other direction or do one loop at a time to finish your day with as much or little mileage and difficulty as you like. Trails all have signs and some difficulty ratings. The eastern shore is very flat but the roots and twisty trails can still provide a nice workout.

You don't need to be a YMCA member to ride, but please check in and sign in for liability if they are open. Please respect the YMCA by refraining from drinking alcohol or littering in the parking lots. Wear your bug spray for ticks and chiggers in summer.

Great place for beginners or anyone needing a dirt fix while visiting Worcester County. Dash Z and Whispering Pines are also fun for kids, and anyone can enjoy a leisurely pace around the paved trail and lake trail.
