"Buddy" Attick Park - TRAIL

"Buddy" Attick Park - Trail, Greenbelt, Maryland

The trail in "Buddy" Attick Park is a fairly wide and open dirt/cinder loop trail that goes around Greenbelt Lake. The trail is 1.25 miles in length and is utilized by bikers, runners, and walkers. There are slight elevation changes throughout the loop and little to no roots or bumps. This is the ideal place to train on a daily basis so that you can more effectively tear up some singletrack on the weekend. It is much less crowded early in the morning as opposed to after 5:00 p.m. when the work crowd begins to show up or on weekends during the day.

This is a fantastic little trail to train on. I have been riding it for many years now (3-5 times per week) and agree that you should ride early in the morning to avoid crowds, bith on weekdays or weekends. This is NOT a destination trail but if you live in the Greenbelt/College Park area, it is a good, peaceful place to ride. My score rates this trail as a training/cardio trail only, not as a challenging and exciting singletrack destination.
