Bodcau - TRAIL

Bodcau - Trail, Bossier/Shreveport, Louisiana

Tight xc with some downhill not real fast and a couple of good climbouts . Half out and back and half loop. More under construction.

This trail was a pleasant surprise. I was not expecting the quality of trail that was present. IT was fast, fun and a great workout. Great trailbuilding!

This trail flows well, especially on the firetower side of the road. The accents are by no means challenging, but the downhill payoff are quite lengthy. If you're like me and love flying downhill, then this may be the place for you. It's technical in some areas, but overall, I would call it a semi-intermediate trail.

Though I'm a harder grader, I would definitely recommend this trail.

this is the most up and down trail of the area. not super techinical. lots of long downhills. very good anaerobic workout. 7 miles stay left at each split and ride it counter clockwise. trail always in great shape thanks to gary rainwater. check locomtb.org for local rides and races.

This was my first time riding this trail. It was a great trail, however, watch out for the rattlesnakes. Got off my bike to look at the beautiful scenery and realized I was standing in between two. So make sure when riding this trail you KEEP YOUR EYES OPEN!!!

This is a great trail. Not too long, only about 6 miles, but they are adding more to it presently. A great mix of terrain, including long fast downhills and good hard uphills. The rollers at the end are a good challenge and lots of fun. It can be nasty when it's wet, so be careful about that. If you're in the area, definitely check it out.

Customer Service

Start at the bottom of the hill at the small parking lot on the left side of the road. Take the trail heading out to the left, past the bench and over the little bridge. When you get to the top of the hill, cross the road and stay to the left, you'll come back here and cross back over the road later on.

Rode this trail for the first time ever a couple weeks ago. Overall I think it's a pretty fun trail. Not very long and with very little traffic it sometimes was difficult finding where to go (we rode a couple sections twice). I hear LOCO is going to do some work on this trail this winter and make it longer which will be nice. Can be ridden by any level of rider.

Customer Service

We went in on the left side of parking lot and came out on the right...so clockwise!

If you haven't ridden Bodcau in the last 9 months, I HIGHLY advise you do so! The trail has been legnthend a little and several new technical goodies have been added in. If you are new to the trail, I'd advise you check the Louisiana Off-road Cycling Organization's website (LOCO). You can find it at www.locomtb.com Hook up with a rider who will introduce the trail to you. Also, during the spring/summer and fall months, there is a regularly scheduled LOCO group ride at Bodcau starting at 6PM at the campground (trail head).
