a great place to explore, as 4whlrs get banned this area probably will get grown up from lack of use
you can ride in from Lower Caney Road off 1167 but there is no parking? have some one to pick you up
loops are possible using gravel and county roads
Wiggly ride to Wrigley would be a name possiblilty

Customer Service

You can start at the Parking area and ride accros/wade the creek the old rail/road bridge is out the path on the other side connects to the old railroad path and goes toward rt711 and Wrigley where there is a store Views of isolated cliff walls and old gravel works mostly wide or 4whlr path...
the other direction up the closed access road leads to the Jenny Wiley trail up Slab Camp and Caney Creek
ride the access road to the wildlife pond the trail hugs the side of the hill both directions

The Original Jenny Wiley Hikking trail is (closed.)
The last Ride I did (3/18/01) here I had someone drop me off on the Lower Craney county Road off 1167. Stay on the county road untill you get to National forrest( no tresspassing notices are for private land on either side of county road. The road goes through the creek twice at least. When you get to the wildlife pond and forrest service gate is accross the creek the blue paint is the Jenny Wiley trail (officially no longer maintained by State) you can ride up (Oakley Ridge A.K.A. Possum Ridge to 711 (Check your map...if your tough enough) blacktop/beautiful ridge farms ect follow 711 3miles? to bottom of long hill and right on to Leasure-Paragon road. This is an old Railroad bed back to Paragon starts as gravel then dirt/4whlr path.
I took Jones Ridge Road back to Morehead Total time 2-1/2 to 3hours Lots of out and back rides are possible as well If a forrest service gate says FOOT TRAVEL ONLY you can still MTB in this area of "the BOONE" as it's nick named. This area needs to be a rail to Trail network.?

Customer Service

Update; The 4whlr trails in this area are o.k. to use but if it has an engine/motor it's banned!(behind any closed gates that say so) Mtb in this district can use any existing trail, The Map from the Visitors center at Cave Run (801 above Dam) has part of this area on it (but not all) Some trails are sandy and Muddy after any wet weather so bring some extra chain lube.
