Non technical, easy ride, good workout. If you are nearby, or passing through, give it a try. Don't go too far out of your way.

Most all the other reviews say it...it's not much of a challenge to ride. BUT, you can get a decent cardio workout. It's definitely a beginner trail and is good if you're in E-town and just want dirt under your wheels. It's not technical but some turns can sneak up on you b/c you can get a full head of steam motoring along. You do have to watch out for walkers/runners but most of the time they're used to looking out for bikes. Just don't be a knucklehead and yell at anyone if you have to slow down, just work hard to get back up to speed. The trail is wide so it's more like double (or even triple) track. But you can find some sections of singletrack, kinda. Not technical but good to build confidence for newbies. If you want a challenge drive 12-14 miles and go to Youngers Creek or out towards Radcliff and ride Otter Creek. That's where you'll find the good stuff. There aren't any hills to speak of only a couple of quick ups.

Customer Service

You can jump on anywhere off the Ring Rd. parking lot by the two ponds but I prefer jumping on off of Dieks Dr and riding up to the dam and into the double track.

I just half to put it out there that this is not a mountain bike trail. This is a good trail to get cardio at but it is not remotely difficult.

Customer Service

You can jump in anywhere around the lake abd just follow the trail.

Not a bad trail for someone just starting out in the sport. Not very technical at all but a decent workout. Be sure to watch out for walkers and runners.

Customer Service

Start at trailhead at parking lot off of Ring RD and just ride, no matter what path you take you will end up back on the main trail.

a poorly managed trail located near a closed down wal-mart, a colt bottling plant, and several car dealerships.

mountain biking allows participants to view their surroundings from a different perspective, an appreciation and a respect for nature. freeman lake park is a mish-mash of non-native plants and litter.

this IS a beginners trail for mountain bikers. freeman lake park is better served for the weekend pedestrian (wishing to escape the daily subdivision scenery). technical approach need not apply, extremely weak climbs and lackluster descents leave you searching for standing roots to give you a shake.

if it wasn't for the red clay, you'd swear it was just a poorly maintained country road.

Not difficult trail at all. Very scenic but if looking for a good experience then go to Otter Creek or Ft Duffield. My 5yr old son made cake out of Freeman lake.
