This trail is a gem in the middle of flatland. The whole freakin thing is up or down, which turns a 3 mile ride into a challenging workout. The trail is impeccably maintained, there is no gate fee (or gate) and it is not crowded. I had given up hope on finding places to ride when I moved to Kansas, but this trail has saved the day.

This trail is just under 1.5 hours from Wichita, and it is well worth the drive! The trail is well maintained and located on the side of a hill--making for a good workout. Nothing was extremely technical/impassible, but it wasn't easy either. I didn't see a trailhead, but if you stand at the front door of the castle (I know, cool huh) you'll see a trail leading down to the outhouse. The bike trail is a loop and begins at the outhouse. I would recommend riding the trail counter-clockwise. After you're done, go into Lindsborg and get some Swedish pastries!

I-135 to KS-4 (exit 78), south towards Lindsborg. KS-4 has a sign pointing to Coronado Heights Park, go west at Winchester road (follow the sign). After about 3 miles, Winchester will turn into Coronado Heights road, there will be a cemetary on the north side of the road, and you'll take the first right after the cemetary (12th Ave). If all else fails, drive towards the castle.

Great trail. My wife and I went and rode it for the first time this evening. We ran out of day light before we got it all done. But we got most of it. We will be going back very soon. Had a blast. Going to try to make this one a regular ride. And we meet a great group of guys from Lindsborg that must ride it all the time.

This is a very nice set of trails. Be careful, as some spots are pretty dangerous because if you crash it will be on rocks. Well maintained. Some parts are a bit technical. Some parts are potentially hazardous to your health. Overall this trail is very nice. Also a great view from the top of the hill.

I-35 to Lindsborg. Hwy 4 west to Coronado Heights road. North to the access on dirt road. You can't miss it unless you are blind.

I am new to the sport, but for this area it is a great little ride. I can ride this track couple times and I am tired. There are a couple great views and the trails are VERY WELL MAINTAINED.

Customer Service

Start at the top of the hill at the flagpost. Work your way around the lip of the hill in a clockwise motion. After you start working downhill you have a couple options. Pick a path & go.

What a nice hill, who knew kansas had somthing like this! From the top if feels like you can see all of kansas. You park at the top and ther are several routs down and they all lead back to the road that you have to try to get back up (I thought my lungs were going to pop) the trailhead at the top of the rode on the curve leads to a swooping section of singletrack that feels more like a rollercoaster.
If you live in Kansas this trail is definately worth trying. The loops arent the longest but they use the hill very well and are very fast. So much fun!! I like this trail because its not too technical but can still be chalenging. Some trails are so technical that you have to lose alot of speed (such as camp horizon). Another good thing about this trail, it dries after a rain very quickly, so if your other trails are soaking wet chances are this will be nice and dry. I drove an hour and a half from Wichita for this trail and I was definately glad that I did.

From Berm rd, go north and then take a left where the signs says coronado heights, After the cemetery take a right up a winding road all the way to the top. You will see a trailhead to your right in between two bolders. Start there, and have fun.

the guys taking care of the trail are doing a xlent job. I like the way the trail works all of the hill- you are going up or down all the time- the climbs are well set up. I wil ride this one again and bring a couple of cold ones and get a fire going around the castle picnic areas.

One of the best trails in Kansas. Lots of climbing and technical sections, a real good workout can be had here. It is really a fun trail that is not known to many. Only downfall is it's a little short on mileage.

Customer Service

All the trails are fun but the north side of the hill is the most technical.
