Don't be confused by the number of trails as they all connect and can be done as one ride. This is a fantastic system through the park. It is very fast and not technical at all, but a great ride with great flow. The most technical section or trail would be Creek Side due to the loose rock. The second most technical section IMHO is Cliff Side due to the slide potential if you fall off the bike and a couple of very short uphill sections.

Went here for the first time on July 4, 2010. The trail was in great shape and maintained well. Rode the trail clockwise. The trail has a very good flow. A lot of nice downhill without the steep hard uphill. Some really rocky sections and several creek crossings. I love the flow, but the trail is rather boring. No jumps or log piles...I retract that 1 log pile. Nice trail just not enough "stuff " for me.

This trail system is just another "Feather in the Cap" of Indiana mountain biking. I had a chance to ride it for the second time this weekend, including my first traverse of both Cliffside and Shadow
Run trails. In fact, we did Shadow Run twice, once in each direction. The trails are extremely well designed, implemented and maintained. You can't go wrong with any of the trails at the park, so I suggest you ride them all!

Customer Service

We did Shadow Run counter-clockwise, then Creekside, Grandview, Cliffside and Shadow Run clockwise. Just a little over 17 miles that way.

Great new trail system.
There are 16 miles of trails at Versailles as of 10-2009. Well maintained with lots of variety. It's mostly intermediate level except for the beginner Shadow Run loop.
There are some 200 foot climbs/descents, excellent scenic views, and riverside runs. There are also some rocky sections, which is rare for Indiana. Nice flow.

Customer Service

I think that all the trails flow well in either direction.

The trail is a nice single track that has a bit of everything. It features a rock garden, tight trees, a few climbs, some logs, etc. If you don't want to ride over the obstacles, you can usually avoid them (except the rock garden). It rides pretty fast for the most part and is pretty easy to navigate. An overall enjoyable ride.

This is my favorite trail in the Cincy tri-state area. It has what I like fast flowing trails and you feel like you are going somewhere when you ride it. We are finishing off the newest section the 'final cut' that finishes off the Grandview-Henderson bend section.

There is only one technical area a landslide area that is rock armored. Nothing too crazy but does add a bit of a challenge. It has the longest substained climb in the tri-state, not step just long. some great views of the creek and a decent amount of rock in the ground on the early Creekside section.

Customer Service

Start at swimming pool parking lot and take the Turtle trail. Turn left onto Creekside go up the big climb to Center. Left or right but right is a half mile longer. Take the Grandview connector to a bit of doubletrack and turn right. Hit the Grandview loop on the left and fly on this. Cross some double track after some awesome singletrack. This is a fast and fun .6 mile section. then you curve back and take the henderson bend section, same trail. Cross a culvert and off to your left is the almost finised final cut. You can take that or head up the double track cross over and take Grandview back to where you came and ride the other half of Center and head back. If you take Final cut turn right on Creekside at the climbing corner to get back. Please ride here it needs tread on the trail.

Versailes is one heck of some awesome trails the trails feature a one mile beginner trail which connects to the intermediate trail which is about 1mile and a half from there on the trails are fast flowing and a blast. Log hops, creek crossings, whup de doos, are all in the trail the good thing about the trails is that there are very good directions to continue on or head back to trailhead overall there is about 12 to 13 miles of trails right now and soon to be more.

Versailles SP has about 8-10 miles of some of the best hand built singletrack you can find in southern Indiana. Some good climbs, good descents, excellent flowing narrow trails w/some rock thrown in for good measure. Riding VSP will definitely put a smile on your face.

Trail construction is on-going and this place is only going to get better and better as time goes on.

It's about an 1.5 drive from Indy but well worth it. Less than an hour away from Cincinnati.
