I was just in town for the weekend visiting in laws up in Middlebury and never expected to find local trails to ride! I rode this one and the Winona Lake one (which is way better but this one was good if you're looking to breaking a sweat). You can tell that whatever group upkeeps this trail does a good job. Trails are well marked, singletrack flows pretty well for the terrain they're working with (pretty much flat). Switchbacks are smooth enough to rail through without brakes so that was nice. Lot's of sandy spots though....not used to that. Almost ate it a few times. I'm used to riding in South Korea where it's VERY mountinous so obvoiusly this mid-west terrain didn't give me much of a cardio work out. I was pretty much able to sprint through the entire thing. I DID come across a 6-7 ft drop which I stared at...thought about..and moved on haha. Not at that level yet son. But it's there if you're into that sort of thing i.e. suicide.

Anyway, great fun trail to get a work out in and break a sweat. Not really technical so I think it'd be a great place for new riders to get their feet under them. I did come to a spot where I had to dismount because there was no way my fat ass was zipping between these two trees at the angle the trail approached it. Couple that with a curb sized root AND an up hill entry...haha, I'm just not skilled enough to engage that.

I gave this trail a 4 purely because I just didn't expect there to be any trails let alone a trail maintained to this caliber! So a very nice pleasant surprise. I'm not the most skilled rider and I was able to blow through this with relative ease so obviously, a ranking based on technical difficulty would be a little lower.

Customer Service

No clue, I was there very early morning so it was dark. I just rode until I ended up at the entrance again.

I rode this trail a couple of weeks ago when the weather finally broke, and had a great time. A couple of other reviewers were right that it isn't really easy to follow, but it's not impossible either. Just keep taking a right turn any time you have the chance, and you'll follow it.

There is only one scary spot on the trail that is about 5 miles in to it - just above the junkyard there is a drop in the middle of the trail. If you hit it straight on, make sure to shift your weight as far back over the rear wheel as you can. I didn't, and I flipped over the handlebars, breaking my collarbone at it - took me out of riding for a few weeks, but could have been worse.

I am sure that once the vegetation starts growing in really well, this trail will be a lot easier to follow at speed. Whoever maintains it does a good job.

Lawless - my absolute favorite trail in the area.
Potato Creek - pretty fun.
Custer - a bit of a drive from Rum Village, but well worth it.
Love Creek - a very well marked trail up near Berrien Springs - nothing technical, but a fun workout nonetheless.

Great Trail! It starts out real easy but gets more difficult as the ride goes. They have done some great things with the advanced section making it real tight and technical. Drove down from Michigan and will definitely be back again.

For Indiana, this trail is a blast! It's not marked real well, but some of that could be from people knocking down or removing arrows. Still was a lot of fun. Will go back for sure. No huge hills, but enough to have a good time ang get the heart rate up. If you like Imagination Glen or Winona, you'll like this. Give it a ride!

This is the worst trail I have ever rode. The one cool thing is the bridge. The trail has no flow and has way to many side trails, I had no idea what to ride.

AWESOME trail. Many small drop-offs, up-hill climbs, steep down hills, and lots of switch-backs. Something for everyone, theres a 15 foot table-top a couple downhill jumps and a huge drop-off thats almost 20 ft down. Awesome scenery and lots of wild life. You have to be very careful though and watch out for deer they arent afraid of people. Today a deer came out clipped my back tire and sent me into a tree at almost 20 mph and i broke three ribs!

I've been riding this trail for about 2 years and consider it my 'home' trail. It has a lot of variety. The beginner track is simply that. It's a trail to just get warmed up on.

The intermediate is a fun ride not too hard. It leads to many small trails too that lead back to the intermediate trail, such as the Canadian Turnpike which has some gnarly uphill climb. My favorite part of the ride is the technical log ride in the middle of the course. Also, at the end of the course there is an nice tabletop jump.

The expert trail is without a doubt my favorite though. It's a long gnarly trail with lots of tech stuff. Small corners, insane climbs, and lots of jumps. There is the legendary Red Rocks a huge jump that would launch you probably 15 feet in the air. I haven't tried it. There is also the rollercoaster which is this insane wooden well rollercoaster built about 10 feet from the ground. Near the end of this trail you ride over a huge stack of logs then you can either go left or right. If you head left you just ride down and hit a jump. If you go right you go over a bridge and then you can ride down this all tech'd out tree with this jump at the end. Right when you walk into the park you see this epic log ride to your left, I can't really explain it. I wrecked on it once and got knocked it. It was so sweet.

I think this trial is awesome. Way better than Potato Creek or Bethal trails. If you in Northern Indiana, this is the place to go to. If you have any questions send me an email.

Yesterday was the 2nd time riding. The first was too muddy to be riding anywhere, so my first impressions were properly put on hold.
That said.

Fast. The trails are fast. They are nicely cut out. They have great turns and switchbacks. Only a few places where an arrow marker may have fallen and/or need replaced.
Overall though it was fast. I was able to get some incredible speed--on a unknown trail, mind you. (I never felt unsafe) I love the finish!

Customer Service

I did the (I think) beginner's trail once, and the intermediate twice. I will be on the expert trails next...though that ramp probably won't make the to-do list.

I run the beginner and intermediate pretty much every week. When I have others with we continue on to the advanced as well.
