This was my home trail before moving out to Colorado Springs. Really enjoyed riding here! Certain sections are kinda rooty and doesn't hold rain very well. But I give a lot of credit to the organization that maintains this trail. They do a great job.
This trail has a little of everything, switchbacks, challenging ups and fast downhills, log overs and a few jumps. Well marked!

Finally got to ride imagination glen for the first time today. Great trail, very well maintained. It flows pretty well. Only a few of the climbs are brutal but most of the downhill sections are a blast, and conveniently flow well into the climbs.

Only downfall is LOTS of roots, which you'll stall out on the climbs if your not prepared. But regardless the trail rides fast. A mix of everything. Long areas of flat and twisty single track, leading to up and downhill goodness. Some jumps thrown in for good measure, quite a few bridges, which I like for some reason.

We started by the rollercoaster rode that into Darkside, then a second lap on rollercoaster and passed the entrance to Darkside to the beginner section (half mile down the paved road) back to Darkside for a second lap. Ended up with a good 15 miles!

This trail offers a little bit of everything and I got to ride it when the conditions were a bit wet in some areas. Overall it is satisfying trail if you are looking to ride XC style. I ran a singlespeed rigid 29er and didn't feel beat up at all. Some cool downhill chutes are available at the end of Darkside. I really liked that there was an untouched area near the creek that was a beautiful natural habitat. Lots of birds and insects making it their spot to hang. Be forewarned that in summertime there are a lot of mosquitos, so bring your spray or just keep moving.

Why were there so many riders NOT wearing helmets out there? I was the only one! It isn't that tame of a trail, so buckle up peeps!

Great trail for the Chicagoland area. Only took about 40 minutes to get to the trailhead from Frankfort, IL.

We did all of the trails in a couple of hours. Trails were very well maintained. Lots of twists and turns but the rollers were nicely spread throughout the trail system.

I could tell that a good amount of time was spent creating and maintaining the trail.

I look forward to going back and hopefully will do the time trial.

This trail has a little bit of everything .We are trying to add more flow to the trail. we can't and any North Shore stuff because we are in a contract with the Portage parks.
So we have to keep it to Crosscountry type of riding.
So best I can say is enjoy our trail !!

Nice trail! It's easy to see that a lot of time and effort goes into maintaining it. I was only able to ride the short loop, but it was very enjoyable. A couple of tough(for northern Indiana) climbs, some twisty sections, and a few fast, open areas. I am anxious to go back when I ca ride both loops.
PROS: Very well maintained. Lots of markers make it easy to follow. The couple of trickier sections have shortcuts if you wish to skip them(they are worth riding though). Set up to accommodate riders wanting to hammer away, or riders wishing to take it easy and enjoy the scenery.
CONS: Nothing really comes to mind.
OVERALL: Great place to ride. A couple spots offer a nice challenge for beginners, while more advanced riders should fly down the trail.

Combine this park with nearby Bluhm County Park for a nice afternoon of riding.

This trail is alright for NW Indiana to go out and get some exercise. It is not technical at all, no big climbs, but better than nothing. The trail is well maintained...almost to a fault. But better to be over maintained than under I guess. It makes me laugh to see people with 35lb+ quasi downhill bikes and full armor on this trail. A hardtail or cross country fs bike is more than enough. This trail is not hard folks, even at full speed the whole way!

If you want a good trail, move away from Indiana. If you are stuck here, this is the best in the area.
