Hobo Trails - Trail, New Albany, Indiana

Hobo Trails - Trail, New Albany, Indiana

DESCRIPTION

Packed dirt trails that carve through the wooded banks of the Ohio River. Views of Kentucky from some of the trails. Trails split into two/three directions at the main clearing, where there is several jumps/ramps you can ride. Good place to practice your jumping abilities; some are easy, others are built for motorcycles and more challenging. Also there are logs off to the side of the trails for more technical stuff. Trails snake around a small, hidden lake and the banks of Silver Creek, which drains into the muddy Ohio. You can ride underneath an abandoned bridge. Nothing too hard but the trails offer a fast ride. Watch out for dudes walking on the trails; the trails aren't named after the hobos for nothing. These trails aren't too scenic but they offer some offroading within the Louisville Metro area. More challenging trails are at Louisville's Waverly Park in Valley Station and Cherokee Park in the Highlands -- both which are about a 10-15 minute drive from here.

the trails are also called blood pond, because story has it that there was a slaughter house back there and they drained the blood and waist into the pond. good trails but u can expect it to flood at times, ruining the jumps so it does change a little year to year does get kinda hot in the heat of summer and bugs can be a problem

Nothing spectacular but fun to ride. The jumps and bowl in the middle of the trails is pretty fun. Good place for air.

It ain't waverly, it ain't cherokee but it's a fun slice of riding that's close to all. Get your old school bmx on here with some tight-lipped ramps.

Fun to scare the dudes that are trying to catch some nasty bluegill in Silver Creek. Carry a cell phone as you are isolated from any busy road...

I didn't like this trail at all. It was short, smelly, and I probably won't go back
