Its a good trail for somebody getting into MTB's. Its also great for people wanting to get some cycle cross training in. Its really flat, and you are able to go pretty fast without having to worry about much. If you are looking for a more Mountain Bike ride in Indianapolis, this place isn't the greatest. I would suggest Fort Ben. If your looking for an after work cruise this place is perfect.

I've been riding this trail regularly since the concrete was poured for the 96th st bridge and motorcycles ruled the site. It has been fun watching the trail evolve over the years from a 9 mile rutted barely rideable track to a quality crafted 7.5 mile mt bike race course. I've seen dads and kids with their coaster brake bikes, ladies, racers and even a guy with his kid on a "trail-a-bike" riding the trail. I fall in the faster than most category and I enjoy seeing the diversity of riders. I feel like we all get along great as long as we keep our ears clear of personal electronics and can communicate with each other. I will continue to ride this trail 45 miles a week as long as it's around. I just wish that we could get those whom use this trail "on foot" to go the other direction so they could see US too!

I always have a great time on this trail. It isn't to technical but you can make the best of the trail by picking up your speed. The last time I went to the trail they were building a cat walk that had a major drop on the end of it i think their putting in a run with lots "sweet jumps" shut up napoleon!!!

First off I think the subsequent reviews of this trail are all fair assessments. The length is roughly 7 miles in it entirety, but there are several places where the trail collides with itself allowing the rider to shorten or lengthen his or her ride. The added obstacles are nice for the advanced riders to strut and some are even "easy" enough for a beginner to work up the courage to try out. I think the level of satisfaction that a rider will gain from this trail is all dependent of what expectations is set going into the ride. It is a great trail for raising your fitness level, and technical skills. It isn't going to be an epic ride that you will sit in front of your fireplace in 50 years telling your grandchildren about. If you live outside of the Indy metro area I am going to say that it may not be worth the drive unless you have NO other options. It is a mile from my house so I hit this trail 3-4 times a week and I have yet to be disappointed.

This trail is excellent. tons of singletrack with uphills and downhills that make you feel like your on a rollercoaster. There's a lot of smooth fast hardpack and some areas that are a little more technical. nice scenery along the water..other nice trails nearby too..

Similar Products Used: The Bicycle garage bike store has a trail entrance that will take you behind the lakeshore apts which are on 82nd st, this will then lead to entrances to a trail that will take you behind the riverbend apts that are on allisonville rd. Its excellent singletrack with lots of turns.

Well I was bored today and decided to make my way up tot Town Run for a little bit. It was fun, much longer than I expected it to be. I saw a lot of work being done on side routes, and a lot of closed routes, I assume they are rotated to keep the trails from getting to torn up. Lots of fun though and a good workout. Not overly technical for this new kid, I like that there is more than one way cut through so you can avoid some of the bigger drops if you need to.

The signs man the signs. Watch out for the walkers going the wrong way on the trail.

Love this trail. Its a flowing single track just under 7 miles long. There are some very obvious "sections" of the trail. The first is the roller coaster and sends you back and forth over the old levee in front of white river. After you go under the interstate, you cross into what I like to call the "savanna" section of the trail. Very flat and dusty. The last section after u cross back under the interstate is the most technical and has a few good hills and drops.

Just started riding this trail again after taking about a 1 year break from mountain biking. There are some new changes that I really like. There are now alot of areas with logs pilled up across the trail so you can get some air. There are also a few wood platforms in place.

It looks like there is a really sweet wooden platform that is under construction. It starts at the beginning of the trail and winds through the forest.

This trail is VERY well maintained which makes it always a blast to ride. Total length is about 7 miles. Might not be the best place to start beginners off, as I would say this is an intermediate trail.

This trail is pretty fun. No hills to speak of but the trail is very fast and flows well. After about five miles I began to wonder when the trail was going to get hard. Not too long after that I quickly found out where it was. It's not a very long section but you really have to keep your eyes on the trail.

It's a little short for my tastes (seven miles)but worth riding if you live around Indy or are passing through as I was.
