This was my first ever trail riding experience. I am hooked!!! I got lost, not because of anybody's fault except for the pure beauty of the whole place. Except for a spiderweb :) the trails were perfectly maintained. Such a wonderful time to ride now the weather is perfect, leaves changing color, cardinals and blue jays flying by. What an experience! Much thanks to whoever is responsible for these trails!

Well, My wish finally came true! A house on property up against the Brums woods trail finally came up on the market this past spring. My wife, kids and I jumped all over it. Having been one of the original trail blazers of Brums over 15 years ago, I am finally living where I can ride and maintain these trails right out my back door! My kids ride here now also. Its so cool to have these trails so accessable. I want to personally thank the different groups and clubs in town that come out and help maintain these trails. I can guarantee that 2008 will be the best year ever for Brums woods. I have already begun building a North Woods style section in the far NW corner ( near to my house ) that will have several log jumps and obstacles. Thanks again for everyone who supports this trail! It has survived and trived for so long (15 years) thanks to the City parks department and all of you.

I currently working on marking my personal loop that I race train on. It totals exactly three miles and utilizes almost all the trails without ever crossing your own tracks or riding the same section twice in one lap.

Since there has'nt been an update posted for over a year, I thought I would put in a new one. The trails have been continually maintained. The city parks department now has responsibility for the overall upkeep of the trails. They are doing a great job of keeping weeds from overtaking the trails. Local folks from clubs to church groups have been helping maintain the trail networks with materials supplied by the city! Yeah, the main trails are not worthy of holding a world championship, but they are fun! As one of the original trail cutters that started it all over 15 years ago, I am thrilled to report that I finally bought a house that borders the woods. I can now ride right out my back door onto the trail. This will be a bonus for expert riders as I plan to build a super technical "northwest" style section on the edge of our property that will be an optional section to the main trail. We have already started work on it and it will be complete this winter. Feel free to email me if you have questions on the trails. As always, please avoid riding when the trails are really wet. Thanks and see you on the trails.

I have ridden this trail a few times now. I bring the bike when I travel to my parents and hit this trail for a little exercise. The trail maybe changes 30 feet in elevation. There are some tight turns that pretty much just slow you down. Overall it's a trail and worth riding if you have your bike and are in Batesville, but is not worth traveling over an hour to unless your desperate for a new adventure.

I'm not that experienced of a MTB'er, but I didn't have that hard of a time on this trail. A couple of bridges were tricky, but nothing too hard. This is a great place for an advanced rider to run through fast as he$$, or an inexperienced biker to learn the ropes. Very well maintained, shout outs to the local club that takes care of that.

THough I would post an update review. There has been continuing maintenence done throughout the summer and the trails are Perfect!!!!! There will be some surprises added during the fall, including a very technical section to challenge the advanced riders.
Please ride our trails only when dry. If you've ridden here please leave a review!!!

I train on this trail about once a week and I still enjoy it. It's not technical and there are no climbs but it's fast and flows fairly well. The trails are well maintained by several local bike lovers. I can't say that I would drive 2 hours to ride this trail but if you like to ride and you live near Batesville you should give it a ride. Remember it's all about riding.
