Farmdale is the most popular riding spot in the area and is taken care of extremely well. The trail is pretty smooth overall with some rooty sections and a short fun slightly technical downhill with a couple good drops and jumps. Farmdale is not as physical as Indy but the flow through many of the sections is superior. It can be taken pretty easy as a great beginner trail or if you want to push the pace it can be really fast and fun.

Customer Service

The trails can be turned into a great 13 mile lollipop loop by going east out of the parking lot and then turning back before crossing the damn.

i have not ridden out side of illinois but this trail is the best that i have ever ridden. it has a very techincal down hill and up ssections all along its trails. the down hill ssections are cut backs down the side of the hills and their is alot of the trails. these trails are well maintained by pamba and is alot better then the surronding trails. this park also has a very cool dirt jump course at just a short ride from the parking lot. this is where i broke my tail bone goin off the jumps. still lots of fun. i recomend if you are an avid downhiller and want some good up hill sections also .

Great trails. Maps can use an update but still very nice to navigate. These trails are well maintained and alot of fun. I will ride here again if I visit. PAMBA and Corp of Engineers have done great work here. Thanks to all the volunteers!!!

Customer Service

Ride Schroll's it is a blast connect with Mike and Dans (i think thats the name). Creekside is fun but the far side trails are the best. Pick up a map at LBS and go explore.

Great group of trails with large loops, technical areas, fast stretches. Beginner and advanced worth while. I will definately go again. I was there for the Midwest Mountain Bike Festival held by PAMBA. Awesome! All trails marked with difficulty ratings.

This place has something for everyone. Mountain Cross and Downhill courses for the racers and tons of single track for all the XC guys. Single track can be very fast in some sections as well as technical in others. They have miles and miles (I would guess around 30 total) worth of trails here. The downhill course is fun. It has rock gardens, rooty stepdowns, and some technical downhill sections. They hold races a few times a year. Check the PAMBA site for more info. If you'd like to see a video and pictures of the course check out www.sicklines.com under the courses section. First person and trailer videos are available.

Hats off to PAMBA! Moved to Peoria a few months ago and have become an adict of pedal sports once again. Great trails from fireroad to singletrack.

Customer Service

Just ride. Schroll's is fun. Faster you go the harder it gets. Or try the new downhill run for kicks.

Just an update of sorts. The Peoria Area Mountain Bike Association just received a $500 grant to begin construction of a Dual Slalom / Mtn. X type course at this park. The Army Corps of Engineers has accepted the proposal for the course and construction should begin soon. Also, more singletrack has been added over the last year and it just plain kicks ass. There's even rumor of more freeride oriented trails being added...that means MTB only to you and me!!!

Customer Service

park in main lot...trailheads shoot off either side of the lot. Just go and explore...or go to www.pambamtb.org and post a request for a guided tour on their message boards.

Just an update of sorts. PAMBA is one or two workdays short of having this park be an entire loop. It's been three years of hard work!! The first few reviews on this page talked of a mish/mash of trails that were poorly connected...they were right!! But now...wow...PAMBA has added quite a few miles of singletrack and connector trail that offers everything from huge log piles and fast swoopy bench cut trail to stunts and switchbacks. Signage and mapping are underway!! Even hike and bike only trails have been established!! A note for the locals: You can now ride from the lower parking lot to the top of the dam on SINGLETRACK...without ever having to ride on the upper parking area or the side of the road. This place gets better all the time....

Customer Service

There are full and partial loops that begin from either direction out of the main parking lot on Bittersweet Rd. Go to the newly established kiosk for a look at the most recent map.

This trail hasn't been reviewed in a while, and a lot has been added. New trails are being created, and you can now almost ride a huge loop around the entire park with very little fire road. The local bike club PAMBA has been doing great maintaining the place. Check em out at www.pambamtb.org. There is a bit of everything here. Lots of wooded trails, creek crossings, logs (including a huge 4-5 foot log pile!) lung busting climbs, fast downhills, gravity drops, and lots of very tight, narrow, twisty singletrack. Better to leave the bar ends off for this place!

Customer Service

Note: check out the map on the PAMBA web site to locate the names of the trails. From the main parking lot (below the dam) go left. Follow the path thru the campground, onto the first fire road, left on alt creekside (before the creek), along the treeline, down to the cinder road, left on TNT, over the teeter-totter, across the creek, thru the playground area, over the giant log crossing, up blue chevy hill, along the back trail, up horse hill, thru scholls trail (the signature trail!) around Mike-n-dons, down whistler, and back the same path to the parking lot. Approx 13.5 miles.

This trail has many off camber drops and deep ravine crossings that are steep on both sides. Log piles and loose wicked downhill sections will keep intermediate and advanced riders occupied. Beginners can stick to the fireroads. This trail is alot of fun, but maps and signs are not available, go with a veteran to learn the lay of the land.

Customer Service

Take the single track hill down from the parking lot (east of parking area), down to a fire road, hang a left and follow the fire road through a creek crossing. Keep your eyes open for a trail that leads off to the left and up a hill. This is where the singletrack begins. If you get lost, the trail will spit you back out onto the fire road. Use it to find your way back, or to find more trail to get lost on.
