Rode this trail in early spring as an out and back starting at the south end. Wow. It was amazing. Trail was very smooth with a nice variety of terrain, views, hills, etc. There were no long uphills or downhills. Only nice rolling terrain. I was with a large group of varying skill and everyone enjoyed the ride. I would recommend this trail to anyone. Cant wait until I can get back up there and try it again.
I put 3 for aerobic and technical difficulty because you can take it slow, but you can also push it and be stretched in both areas.

This trail is rated as the "primo" trail by the locals who ride the Priest Lake trails. It is not too technical but challenging none the less. The first two miles drop down to the lake level through old growth forest, sidehills along the lake, and sandy beaches. It then climbs back up for the next two miles or so on rocky sidehill trail and continues along the shore for a half mile or so before it once again descends down to lake level. It crosses five creeks along the way and offers a little bit of every kind of terrain from mud to rocks to tree roots to sand to pine needle covered single track trail. A most enjoyable ride and well worth the trip up to Priest Lake.

I like to ride this trail end to end starting at the Granite Creek entrance. Ride north to Beaver Creek, turn around and do it all over again from the north. Also it can be ridden in conjunction with the Navigation trail which starts at the north end of this trail.
