Short but very nice trail. Mainly singletrack through hardwood forest at varing elevations. Well maintained. Hard packed soil covered with lots of leaves, pine needles and branches with plenty of roots and the occasional large rock. Scenic both in the ride, surrounding lake and wildlife (deer, turkey). A few good ascents that will take an experienced rider but definitely doable. Descents are great - nice and fast, twisty and banked in some spots. Wear eye pro as there are plenty of branches that can hit your face. Won't take long - good trail to go and plan on running a few times.

Customer Service

You can enter the trail from the parking area at the sign or go across the street at the high end of the parking area. The parking side is steeper, the non-parking side has a more gradual elevation. Both are great. See trails.com for map.
Bring $4 for the state park honor box - not sure if they enforce it.

The locals recommended Red/White and the Pinhoti. Check out Biguns BBQ about 10 miles south of Ellijay - great food and service and the people there had good trail advice.
