The RazorBack - TRAIL

The RazorBack - Trail, Reddick, Florida

The best that FL has to offer. It is a replacement upgrade for the previous #1 spot, HardRock. Only 10 miles up the road. This one will slay ya.

I don't know why anyone hasn't posted this yet but the trail is closed for good. Private property. Do not go there. Too bad, it WAS the best trail in Fla.

Well my first time out there was the 12 hour race. First off i would like to say, you should always ride a place before you race it. I should of. Well at the time i thought i was in very good shape. This place thrashed me and kicked my but, after that it messed me up big time. I broke my chain going up some narly hill, and fell back. Anyways, 10 mile loop, the first two miles are very cool, for me after that was hell. Lot's of climbs. Needless to say i was way out of my zone to be riding at this place. I told myself i would never go there agen. And i have not. I am not saying it is a good place, it is probably the best Florida has to offer, but it is just not for me. Oh and at the race with 1 mile to go in the lap there was a down tree right at the bottom of a short drop after a short turn, it did not tast good. I would say go with someone who has been there before. Stay hydrated, it is a while before you can get out of this place.

There are mile markers, and arrows telling you what path to take. Use that.

Holy crap WOW!! This is a truly great trail. Not for the faint hearted and you gotta be in great riding shape. The climbs are relentless, they just keep on comin! Ofcourse the drops follow the climbs. A couple of drops are completely outrageous. Trails are marked and easy to follow and they have mile markers. Current trail is a bit over 11 miles so bring lots of water, energy bars and some big cojones. It's 5.00 per person, the bargain of the year and is open 9-5 Sat & Sun only. By the way those Ocala girls sure are nice and friendly, made the trip more of a blast. Lookin forward to next trip up.

I'm not sure but I think the last review was for the wrong trail. Razorback is not for the faint of heart. Very technical at times with a few climbs that will turn you into a girl quick. The 4 hurricanes that hit Fl. did some damage but it is mostly clear now. Great ride!

Customer Service

Follow the path. Grannie's revenge comes pretty quick and will kick your butt.

I have ridden hard rock many times. Last wknd much of the route was closed for motorcycle racing. I had heard about another trail in Reddick and pursued directions to RazorBack. The first mile or so of this course is rather barren and open around and into a quarry. Things get interesting after that. The trail is generally narrow making the descents more technically difficult. Some of the climbs I had difficulty pushing up because of the steep grade and sand. The route after the first mile is very scenic with stretches of very easy riding between the difficult segements. Some people used the "easy route" detours to avoid these sections. The course is well marked.I saw many riders of variable ability all being challanged.

definitely one of the two best places to ride in florida, alongside hard rock. very similar to hard rock, but w/less loose, gravel type terrain. therefore, it's smoother and faster. some excellent downhills and some brutal climbs. take the expert loop to make the total loop distance about 8 miles. it's a blast!!! managed three loops and felt it for two days! definitely ride here!

Customer Service

it's a loop, follow the signs, dummy!

Hard Rock is rated #1 in my book, but this is a close second! Some very technical sections, good gnarly down hills, several good climbs, 7 miles of good riding so get your ASS of the couch!!!

I have ridden several other trails in Florida and Georgia but this is the most fun I have had on any other trail. You get everything out of this spot: climbs, downhills, technical and some very nice scenery thrown in. There are a few snakes so ride real fast.
This place rocks.
